Sorry about Frieda. I am literally going blind. It can’t be fixed with glasses. I can’t always catch the spellcheck.

The gardens are lovely. But that's it.

Ive been to a retinologist R3. He graduated from Harvard medical school & interned at John Hopkins so he’s probably the smartest doctor I’ve ever been to. (Which probably means he’s a psychopath). Anyway, it’s macular degeneration. There’s no treatment. They tell you to take vitamins in hopes the degeneration goes slowly instead of getting “wet” degeneration which is more rapid. I noticed declining vision & said to myself “my prescription probably needs to be updated.” Went to my optometrist who said my prescription hadn’t changed, so she sent me to retinologist. It’s so strange … and frightening….to have blurry vision and when you put your glasses on, there is no change. I can’t drive at night anymore.

A complex plan of gardens mindfully designed by Jian Guo Xu, a noted Chinese artist, and created by John Whitney, landscape and garden designer. The property's feature garden structure with 500 year old doors is a replica of a 15th-century temple in Beijing. Winding paths, water gardens, bridges, stone sculptures, rocks, curved bridges, sitting areas, paths, trees and plantings are a masterful creation of Feng Shui design. Notable outdoor structures include an open-air pavilion adjacent to a koi pond, a pool/tea house with a full bath and shower and gazebo in the bamboo garden. Viewed from the main house and set within the gardens is a spectacular lagoon-like two-level pool and spa surrounded by natural stone patios and walkways. Additional features are a traditional moon gate, stone sculptures, inlaid paths and meditating gardens incorporated into the landscape

I would have thought that was the Noyack section of Southampton. I didn't realize BH went that far north.

Complete teardown.

Who is this "John Whitney" garden designer?

This looks like the estate of an eccentric old blue blood who had a lot of time and money from the 60s to the 90s to pursue his esoteric yada yada exotica wet dream. If you look closely, a lot of the wood is in poor shape - these structures have been around for quite some time. Every inch of the "estate" has been worked over with a WEALTHY OCD eye for DE TROP.

This could only be useful as a drug and sex weekend party palace for very young people who could have a ball there. It's beyond atrocious but of course tons of money has been sunk into its hideousness and speaks to a drug addled sensibility. It would be fun at night, if also dangerous with the protruding sharp stones and objects all over the place.

Pomonok (slightly different spelling) is the name of a huge housing project in Queens... Could never buy a house on a street with that name.
