She had viral encephalitis something like 20 years ago and it seems as though it's never fully gone away. A few years ago when she cancelled some appearances we were told it was an "extreme viral infection" which made me think it was a flare-up of the encephalitis again. She was initially told she probably wouldn't walk or speak again, so she's done really well, considering.

That she made it to 75 is a miracle of modern health care. She has had a full life. I’m sure she is even ok with letting go at this point.

George is obviously addicted to tanning, but I've never heard about him doing drugs. He looks great, especially for 82.

George never seemed like the type of guy who gets stressed over much, that also helps.

Kind of off topic but I watched the 1985 movie Ladyhawke the other night and I swear Matthew Broderick reminded me of a young Liza.

I didn’t even notice until [r24] pointed it out but it is said that Liza probably hasn’t had intimate contact with anyone except when being sexually assaulted as she is helped into a car.

I never much cared for George Hamilton but since he's still friends with Liza at this stage of her life and taking her out to dinner, maybe there's more to him than I ever thought. Because unless she's paying him (and I don't think she can afford to these days), there doesn't seem to be anything in it for him. He must genuinely care about her.

He probably is a conservative, since so many liberals today love to say they can't wait for all the old people to die so there will be no more racism, transphobia, etc. In that light, it makes sense that somebody who is old and still has and cares about friends who are old would be conservative.

R28 I am sure she is well off. She has a couple of Warhols she could sell if she needed to, but I guess between any savings she had, the auction of her memorabilia, film and movie royalties, any remainder of her parents´ estate, etc. she does OK.

R35 I thought I read that she sold the Warhols when she moved to from NYC to LA. That's why I think she doesn't have a lot to spend on arm candy, but I am far from a Liza expert and could be wrong.

Okay, I did read that she was selling off the Warhols. Of course she could have some left.

She looks like she's speaking, while being helped into the car. She did an interview in January. She hasn't had a stroke. She 76. She's had both hips and both knees replaced. She also has a fucked up back. She looks like any almost 80 yr old woman with little to no make up. Given her knees, hips and back; her mobility issues are not a surprise.

She already sold the Warhols a few years ago before she moved to LA.

For allowing them to dig up Mama from New York and rebury her at Hollywood Forever, Liza, Lorna and Joey all got free niches or spaces in the same area where for $100,000, you can lie in state with Judy for all eternity.

The left side of her face has droop but maybe it wasn't a stroke, you can see that side obviously moves well enough when she's smiling in the car. It's the same droop I noticed in the video about Judy's 100th, though. She didn't have it a couple of years ago.

I don't think she looks that rough. Definitely frail but her life has been rough on her body. Don't forget, she's obviously well enough to agree to go through all the effort to go out to dinner, so the spirit must be there. And I'm no slobbering Liza/Judy queen.

If Liza wanted to make a lot of dough, all she'd have to do is finally write her autobiography. That woman has lived a life, and that book would sell. She could also make a fortune off the film rights--the recent Fosse and Halston miniseries show that people are still interested in that era.

Why do people keep saying Liza is broke? Just with her Warhol sales, she could live for years comfortably. I doubt she spends much money these days.

I wonder if Liza will attend the Oscars? Has she ever been spotted at any of the big after partys like Vanity Fair and Elton John?
