Would You Pay for a Safe Medication that Would Completely Regrow Your Hair?

Especially you shaved head guys. Would you want to deal with having hair again?

by Anonymousreply 36March 22, 2022 12:23 PM

And what medications you don't have to pay????

by Anonymousreply 1March 18, 2022 1:03 AM

I’d rather have a medication that makes me happy again, OP.

by Anonymousreply 2March 18, 2022 1:08 AM

R1, uh, what?

by Anonymousreply 3March 18, 2022 1:12 AM

Had OP asked me this question twenty years ago, I would have jumped on it.

Now, I’m honestly not sure. I think I’m over it.

by Anonymousreply 4March 18, 2022 1:13 AM

[quote] Especially you shaved head guys.

OP, don't you mean "especially you bald guys"? A shaved head guy can regrow his hair any time he wants to.

by Anonymousreply 5March 18, 2022 1:26 AM

it sounds like a research chems sales pitch...

ru58841, alfatradiol, then debate vs finasteride

but then we'd have to get into the cold pressed oils and debate whether we should try the plant or placenta, or try to barter in the alleyway with planned parenthood once again.

but most midlife crisis blokes won't admit to interest

and tend to reply negatively to hair replacement systems (toupee), medical tourism, and the wide array of tools and gadgets, and uv headwear...

OP would be better redirecting the conversation to fraus or appealing to the youngest of twinks (obviously elsewhere) desperate for hard bod but facing premature loss.

of course, "safe" usually relates to bunk.

by Anonymousreply 6March 18, 2022 1:38 AM

No. This look is now part of my BDE.

by Anonymousreply 7March 18, 2022 1:41 AM

I'd only pay the big bucks if it made my bush thicker.

by Anonymousreply 8March 18, 2022 1:42 AM

Nah, but I'd pay for something that actually made me sleep solidly for 8 hours with no grogginess the next day

by Anonymousreply 9March 18, 2022 1:43 AM

I would because I loved my hair. But I wouldnt to try to attract a man, that ship has sailed.

by Anonymousreply 10March 18, 2022 1:44 AM

Yes. This tragic look is part of my increasingly obvious SDE.

by Anonymousreply 11March 18, 2022 1:45 AM

[quote]I’d rather have a medication that makes me happy again, OP.

We called them quaaludes in my day.

by Anonymousreply 12March 18, 2022 1:47 AM

In a second.

by Anonymousreply 13March 18, 2022 2:47 AM

@r12, Ooh, ludes, man

I would pay for any drug that would make me younger, smarter or richer, but hairier? Nah

by Anonymousreply 14March 18, 2022 2:56 AM

If it worked, maybe. I embraced the baldness and went full cue ball since 2015. I have typical male-pattern baldness: the top is naturally gone but the back & sides still come in. Keeping up with the head shaving is a pain in the ass.

by Anonymousreply 15March 18, 2022 3:03 AM

So from the top it looks like a toilet seat?

by Anonymousreply 16March 18, 2022 1:52 PM

If I could get good hair yes but not my mousy old hair. I’m glad it started falling out in my 20s. I have no desire for my old hair.

by Anonymousreply 17March 18, 2022 1:56 PM

It would be a nice-to-have. Like some previous posters I'd prioritise better sleep and, in my case, a permanent restoration of my downstairs plumbing, as well as a better reflux treatment.

by Anonymousreply 18March 18, 2022 1:59 PM

R18- How old are you?

by Anonymousreply 19March 18, 2022 2:21 PM

I still have hair, thinner than in my youth, but it's there. I'm with the person upthread who said they'd rather have meds to make them happy. I'm tired of faking it. It's exhausting.

by Anonymousreply 20March 18, 2022 5:28 PM

The cost of hair care is a factor but I wouldn't mind having the hairline I had when I was a teen.

by Anonymousreply 21March 21, 2022 5:36 PM

I'd rather have a pill that made my dick even bigger. I would pay for that.

by Anonymousreply 22March 21, 2022 5:41 PM

Oh yes I would, as long as the cost was not outlandish.

by Anonymousreply 23March 21, 2022 5:54 PM

Not a concern of mine, but were it, I'd probably have a million miles on Turkish Airlines, know the name of every hair implantologist, and have a walk-in closet of prescription creams and lotions and anything remotely worth a try. I understand that it's just one of those things a man should make his own, but damn,I would hate to be bald. I'm not vain otherwise, but I would hate being bald.

by Anonymousreply 24March 21, 2022 7:10 PM

Are you saying that existing medications aren't safe?

by Anonymousreply 25March 21, 2022 7:13 PM

R24 vanity is thy name.

by Anonymousreply 26March 21, 2022 7:16 PM

Truly, r24, you do get over it. At first it’s devastating, but then, who cares?

by Anonymousreply 27March 21, 2022 8:45 PM

Absolutely. I just started paying for topical Propecia and hope some of my thinning hair returns. I've heard of every reason not to be bothered about hair loss -- "It's no big deal", "Just shave it off", "Some people think the bald look is sexy". I don't think I'd look like Mr. Clean's dashing brother -- rather, I picture myself looking like I was on chemo, with miles of forehead. I will get a toupee if that's what it takes.

by Anonymousreply 28March 21, 2022 10:10 PM

I would like something that would degray my hair. I still have most of my hair. But I wish there was a pill I could take to give it back it's natural color. I don't mind being gray. It's just that mine is coming in, (epsecially on my face) and such a weird way. The gray is patchy. And my face looks much younger when I shave what I can from the sides of my hair. And dyes can look so fake. I like a little stubble, and you would have to dye it just about everyday to keep up with it.

by Anonymousreply 29March 21, 2022 10:22 PM

I'd rather have a medication that kept me at a low BMI.

by Anonymousreply 30March 21, 2022 10:39 PM

I would definitely pay for a safe medication to regrow hair.

by Anonymousreply 31March 21, 2022 11:01 PM

[quote] to give it back it's natural color.

Oh, dear!

by Anonymousreply 32March 21, 2022 11:14 PM

I hate all signs of aging, but the thing I fear the most would be losing any of my hair. I take finasteride and it’s done a reasonably good job. I would take an unsafe medication if it would allow me to keep my hair.

by Anonymousreply 33March 21, 2022 11:20 PM

For those of you who aren’t bald, yet want to regrow your hair thicker?

The Black Jamaican Castor Oil is a miracle worker!

I shaved my hair down to 3/4 of an inch 2 weeks ago. Every night, I shampoo and condition my hair, then I dry it in a towel for 15 minutes. After I remove the towel, I take a teaspoon of it and rub it into my scalp for about 15 minutes.

It’s like a miracle. My hair is growing back QUICKLY and it’s THICK.

I’m not touching it with any dye until I figure out how long I want to grow and how I want to style it, but I can tell you that it feels really soft, but much stronger and thicker.

by Anonymousreply 34March 21, 2022 11:36 PM

I have a pretty healthy and embracing attitude toward aging, it's just that I have always been put off by very bald men from an early age. (Slight balding is fine.) For me it's not at all about trying to reverse the effects of aging, it's just that even as a young kid I really didn't want ever to be bald.

So long as we are just dreaming up miracle pills to address other concerns, I'd pay for a pill to give me Jeff Bezos's billions -- and in return he can keep that weird, pointy, blinding shiny cue ball bald head.

This muthafucka here.

Come in to a bald thread and talk about thick lustrous hair. Read the room, Turkey!
