That pastor is clearly angling for more control and power over his parishioners and is nuts but the author of this article sounds a bit off too.

From the very first line of the article:
"In the long, sad history of human atrocities the witch trials of 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 and Colonial America stand out."
It makes sense to mention Colonial America since it was the location of the single most infamous witchhunting incident of all time, the Salem Witch Trials.
And the article is calling attention to a current occurrence in Tennessee.
What is your point?
