Diane Kruger must have auditioned VERY well, because Helen of Troy is supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the world, yet she still got the part.

I had to read this twice because i thought i missed something. She had to try on a costume to see how she'd look in it and then some pig had the nerve to ask her why she thought she should play the part? THE AUDACITY!

I remember some reviews commenting at the time what an "unusual" choice she was to play the most beautiful woman in the world!

To be fair anybody playing Helen of Troy would have been under scrutiny and the question asked “why her?” You would never please everybody. I would say a young uma Thurman would have been great. I don’t find her attractive all the time but her looks are unusual and striking enough. Kruger seems blandly good looking.

She was fine as Helen of Troy. She may not be to your taste but she looked beautiful. Besides, what other actress could have played that part without getting shit from all sides about not being this idiotic idea of the most beautiful woman in the world?

And she's really good in IB. One thing you remember about that movie is her death scene.

R14 Angelina Jolie would have easily fit the role but she would've probably never agreed to do it. The character is the ultimate damsel in distress.

She refuses to say what she named her kid (because you know - PRIVACY) and it turns out she named her “Nova.” I found that funny because it’s a name that the teen moms having been using for years.

Her Helen of Troy was pretty with no charisma. It was a tiny part but she has tiny energy. I dislike Angelina but she would have been amazing. No one would believe she’d fall in love with Orlando Bloom tho.

I think that I read on AGC.COM that Kruger allegedly has made racist comments about blacks and is reluctant to accept roles with too many black actors in the cast. I read that about Emma Watson as well. Emma refuses to do love scenes with black men. It’s gossip, but hey…
