I LOVE Little Rae's Baker Luck O' The Irish Butter Cookies

I bought them at Whole Foods on Saturday and gobbled them up. I bought them again there yesterday and gobbled them up again. I plan on going to Whole Foods this afternoon and buying another container of them. They are OVERPRICED but I can't resist them. $9.99 for 6 cookies.

Sorry. There are eight cookies per container not six.

by Anonymousreply 1March 16, 2022 2:29 PM

Little Rae's BAKERY not Baker

Sorry for the error.

by Anonymousreply 2March 16, 2022 2:30 PM

OP, maybe you should start a GoFundMe to finance your addiction.

by Anonymousreply 3March 16, 2022 2:32 PM

So one container is nearly 1000 calories? And you’ve already gobbled two? Gross.

by Anonymousreply 4March 16, 2022 2:32 PM

Those are adorable.

by Anonymousreply 5March 16, 2022 2:34 PM

R4- I did not gobble two containers of the cookies in one day. I consumed one container on Saturday and one Tuesday. I must add that one days that I binge like that I take a 2.5 mile walk at night to somewhat counter balance all of the extra calories I consumed that day.

by Anonymousreply 6March 16, 2022 2:36 PM

Does the green dough taste different?

by Anonymousreply 7March 16, 2022 2:39 PM

You do realize that a 2.5 mile walk burns only ~250 calories?

by Anonymousreply 8March 16, 2022 2:42 PM

R8- That's it?

That walk took me forty minutes to complete last night.

by Anonymousreply 9March 16, 2022 2:43 PM

If you had the luck of the Irish

You'd be sorry and wish you were dead

You should have the luck of the Irish

And you'd wish you were English instead

I used to love Irish Soda Bread toasted with butter- YUM 😋

Am I looking at them wrong or are those cookies tiny? $10 for 8 wafer thin, tiny cookies?

I already have ButterFace. I can’t add ButterAss.

by Anonymousreply 17March 16, 2022 3:23 PM

It's my understanding that shortbread and butter cookies are the same thing.

The markup on those is about 400%, which may explain why Jeff Bezos has his own private space 🚀 program in the shape of his dong and we don't!

by Anonymousreply 20March 16, 2022 3:48 PM

I would expect a "Luck O'the Irish" cookie to have been baked with shit or sawdust or something. No ironic cookies for me, thanks.

by Anonymousreply 21March 16, 2022 4:04 PM

R15- Those look good.

by Anonymousreply 22March 16, 2022 4:14 PM

And, shure yar a big fat hoor.

by Anonymousreply 23March 16, 2022 4:37 PM

I went to a local cafe this week, and I swear they cut up a crumb cake from Entemanns, rebilled it as something else, and sold it to me. No luck for me.

by Anonymousreply 24March 16, 2022 7:01 PM

I am pleased and I'm NOT pleased. I was at Whole Foods earlier and they had a nice inventory of Little Rae's Bakery Butter Cookies again but not the Irish ones. The theme of these fabulous cookies is flowers. They apparently have the same ingredients as the Luck O' The Irish ones so these should taste just as good. I'm contemplating putting the cookies in a freezer bag and putting them in the freezer to save for a rainy day.

Being the FAT WHORE that I am I bought two containers of the cookies.

by Anonymousreply 25March 19, 2022 6:59 PM

A foolish fatty and their money are soon parted.

They are fucking sugar cookies with sprinkles, fer dogsakes!

by Anonymousreply 26March 19, 2022 7:09 PM

OH, hush.

by Anonymousreply 27March 19, 2022 7:21 PM

FAT WHORES REJOICE!

They look dry and blah to me. Have at 'em, Mary.

by Anonymousreply 28March 19, 2022 7:39 PM

Trader Joe’s Pinks and Whites are delightful.

by Anonymousreply 29March 19, 2022 7:42 PM

R28- I have eaten them. They are NOT dry nor blah. They are Tasty/Yummy.

by Anonymousreply 30March 19, 2022 7:47 PM

We live in uncertain times, OP. Enjoy your cookies while you can.

by Anonymousreply 31March 19, 2022 7:52 PM

R31- You are a gentlemen and a scholar.

by Anonymousreply 32March 19, 2022 8:06 PM

R5- I did not notice the adorableness of the cookies. I was in a state of mindfulness when I ate them I was in a state of-

MINDLESSNESS

by Anonymousreply 33March 19, 2022 8:08 PM

I meant to say- I was NOT in a state of mindfulness when I ate them I was in a state of

MINDLESSNESS

by Anonymousreply 34March 19, 2022 8:09 PM

They may taste good, but they look unappetizing, IMO.

by Anonymousreply 35March 19, 2022 11:04 PM

R35-They look totally average looking. I looked at the ingredients which sounded high quality. That is the basis for purchasing them- the ingredients not the appearance of the cookies.

by Anonymousreply 36March 20, 2022 6:39 AM

OP, a little self-indulgence never killed anybody. - Janis, Jimi, Kurt, John Belushi and the intubated West Point Cadets

Just joking. Those cookies sound great.
