Another weight loss liar: Who is it?

Aussie bitches unload

by Anonymousreply 70March 19, 2022 1:34 PM

Too easy.

by Anonymousreply 1March 14, 2022 9:49 AM

Hello …

by Anonymousreply 2March 14, 2022 9:53 AM

Both Rebel Wilson and Adele did this.

by Anonymousreply 3March 14, 2022 12:20 PM

Can’t see the tweet. Can you sum it up OP?

by Anonymousreply 4March 14, 2022 12:26 PM

"Fascinated by the celeb pushing the narrative of her weight loss through diet and exercise. Has she forgotten she’s told all her friends she had lap band surgery?"

by Anonymousreply 5March 15, 2022 6:58 AM

Adele also said that, when she's stressed, she works out.

by Anonymousreply 6March 15, 2022 7:00 AM

I know a bit about this person and I'm not shocked in the slightest.

by Anonymousreply 7March 15, 2022 7:17 AM

Why do celebs lie about this? It's a perfectly legit way to lose weight if you're very obese. Weight loss surgery is a lifesaver for people who haven't been able to lose weight in other ways. My ex was extremely fat from toddler age and finally got the surgery to become a fairly typical overweight but not obese person. (and yes, had kept the weight off from what I can tell).

by Anonymousreply 8March 15, 2022 7:30 AM

Rebel Wilson

And yeah, i didn't buy the diet/exercise story Adele gave.

by Anonymousreply 9March 15, 2022 7:32 AM

LOLOL Peter Ford has blocked me and I have no clue who is.

by Anonymousreply 10March 15, 2022 7:34 AM

Are you a social justice type?

by Anonymousreply 11March 15, 2022 7:36 AM

There’s no “Repeat After Me: All 👏🏻Native👏🏻 Asian👏🏻 BIPOC 👏🏻Trans 👏🏻Lives 👏🏻Matter” earnest activist stuff on my Twitter account though I often complain about politicians and frequently make fun of TV personalities. And I don’t use my real name (like I’d want to be doxxed by some infuriated fangirl).

by Anonymousreply 12March 15, 2022 7:45 AM

He's a well known blocker. People are forever saying I was blocked by Peter Ford.

by Anonymousreply 13March 15, 2022 7:54 AM

Let's see if this works. I think sometimes people are forgetting they have to plug in the URL to the specific tweet.

I still don't know who he is referring to.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 14March 15, 2022 8:13 AM

Well it took it to the right tweet but it is all squished. This has been going on intermittently and I'm fucking over it.

Someone please tell me who he's referring to.

by Anonymousreply 15March 15, 2022 8:15 AM

He’s taking about Rebel.

by Anonymousreply 16March 15, 2022 8:23 AM

Some bandicoot from an Australian soap opera, no doubt.

Our beloved A level artists would never lie to us.

by Anonymousreply 17March 15, 2022 8:27 AM

Rebel is uglier and trashier thin, if that's possible. She looks like a rodent and her hair looks so unhealthy.

by Anonymousreply 18March 15, 2022 9:06 AM

Peter Ford is bisexual

by Anonymousreply 19March 15, 2022 10:22 AM

My understanding is that lap band surgeries aren't done anymore in Aus. It's all about bypass/sleeve.

I do work where the latter are performed. So, maybe there are other hospitals that do well with the band.

by Anonymousreply 20March 15, 2022 10:31 AM

Peter Ford is homosexual.

by Anonymousreply 21March 15, 2022 10:34 AM

Don't think international. Don't think soaps. Do think about extreme and uncharacteristic weight loss.

by Anonymousreply 22March 15, 2022 10:38 AM

Chrissie Swan

by Anonymousreply 23March 15, 2022 10:43 AM

My friend swears Peter Ford sucked him off in a public toilet in Paddington

by Anonymousreply 24March 15, 2022 12:25 PM

Well at least it was a higher end toilet I guess.

by Anonymousreply 25March 16, 2022 2:55 AM

Jennifer Hudson also

by Anonymousreply 26March 16, 2022 3:02 AM

Yeah, Hudson's face totally took on the look of Star Jones after her surgery...very sunken in. Adele's face looked like that for several months as well.

by Anonymousreply 27March 16, 2022 3:39 AM

[quote] Rebel is uglier and trashier thin, if that's possible. She looks like a rodent and her hair looks so unhealthy.

I thought the same thing about her looking like a rodent.

by Anonymousreply 28March 16, 2022 3:51 AM

Fat is the brand for a lot of these celebrities and fat is also the fanbase in a lot of cases. The surgery isn't always the smartest move.

by Anonymousreply 29March 16, 2022 3:55 AM

When you get weight loss surgery, your hair definitely suffers the consequences as (no matter what supps you take or how much protein you intake) your body is thrown in a state of nutritional deficiency. I lost so much hair that it made me cry to take a shower. Eventually it comes back.

by Anonymousreply 30March 16, 2022 4:13 AM

Really! That's pretty disturbing.

by Anonymousreply 31March 16, 2022 4:14 AM

Yeah, it happens but it's (relatively) temporary. And it doesn't matter what kind of surgery you get, it happens with all of them.

by Anonymousreply 32March 16, 2022 4:19 AM

Is Peter Ford a Datalounger?

by Anonymousreply 33March 16, 2022 4:19 AM

[quote]lap band surgery

also drugs

by Anonymousreply 34March 16, 2022 4:20 AM

He's in the right demo.

by Anonymousreply 35March 16, 2022 4:21 AM

Adele just screams Adderall.

by Anonymousreply 36March 16, 2022 4:21 AM

Adele was just pleasantly plump. She didn't look bad or particularly unhealthy. Her fanbase liked her fat too, more relatable.

by Anonymousreply 37March 16, 2022 4:25 AM

I agree, Adele didn't look bad fat. Rebel Wilson was a fugo when fat and she's still a fugo.

by Anonymousreply 38March 16, 2022 4:34 AM

I think it’s Chrissy Metz. She looks mysteriously waif like of late.

by Anonymousreply 39March 16, 2022 5:08 AM

Remember when star Jones said it was Pilates and portion control?

by Anonymousreply 40March 16, 2022 5:56 AM

LOL!

by Anonymousreply 41March 16, 2022 5:58 AM

Rebel Wilson's bread and butter was being the funny feral fat girl, she's done her career a disservice losing so much weight.

by Anonymousreply 42March 16, 2022 9:02 AM

Jennifer Hudson is one I don’t actually think had surgery. She is literally big boned - 5’8 or 5’9 and broad shouldered - so she looked like she carried more weight than she did. And she lost weight over 2 years or so after her mother’s murder.

by Anonymousreply 43March 16, 2022 9:24 AM

Jennifer Hudson has been thin a lot longer than 2 years.

by Anonymousreply 44March 16, 2022 9:44 AM

[quote] Don't think international. Don't think soaps. Do think about extreme and uncharacteristic weight loss.

Well, who is it?

by Anonymousreply 45March 16, 2022 9:55 AM

Hair loss is not due to nutritional deficiency. Many (most?) people have BETTER nutrition while dieting, not worse. Losing a significant amount of weight is a shock to the system--a stress on the body. It takes time to return to equilibrium. Eventually, the hair does grow back.

by Anonymousreply 46March 16, 2022 9:57 AM

R46 - as someone who has had weight loss surgery, know many others who have it, spent tons of time researching side effects, being counseled about side effects, i can TELL YOU DEFINITIVELY it most certainly is a side effect of weight loss surgery. It's probably not the only reason - there is something called "telogen effluvium" that happens after a shock to the system (such as surgery). Please see below.

And thanks for trying to tell me something I most definitely know.

by Anonymousreply 47March 16, 2022 11:00 AM

With those guidelines, r45, he means Chrissie Swan.

Who I like, actually. She’s funny and sharp. But her sudden weight loss in middle-age ain’t pretty.

by Anonymousreply 48March 16, 2022 11:02 AM

^^and nutritional deficiency.

Pretty sure a bariatric surgeon can be relied upon for accurate info on side effects and their causes. And if you don't think you won't get a nutritional deficiency when you can only food the size of a golf ball 3-5 a day, I've got news for you.

by Anonymousreply 49March 16, 2022 11:03 AM

R47. I'd like to thank YOU for telling ME something I already know. I lost 70 lbs without surgery (low carb, IF and a lot of exercise). I ate far healthier during my diet (and now in maintenance) than I ever did prior to weight loss. I still lost my hair, about 6 months into the journey. But it grew back and is thicker now.

So...hair loss is NOT only a symptom of weight loss surgery or nutritional deficiency, as you stated in your earlier post. It is the result of significant weight loss in general. The body perceives any great change, even a positive one, as stress. Think of how sick a drug addict feels when they detox. Same with eliminating sugar from the diet. The body hates you for it....at first. Then you feel amazing. You have to be willing to undergo some discomfort before you can get well.

by Anonymousreply 50March 16, 2022 11:18 AM

Yup, that's right r50, although I didn't eat a lot of sugar (or carbs for that matter); i've always been a savory person. Very uncomfortable the first several months, but the body evens out. I have hypothyroidism and it wasn't budging even with medication. I lost close to 100 lbs which was way too much but I bounced back to a healthier weight. When you have weight loss surgery, a good portion of your stomach/intestine is bypassed so you don't absorb as many nutrients than the average person who loses weight using diet/exercise alone. Thus the nutritional deficiency. It is recommended you supp with Vit D, Calcium Carbonate for life (and sometimes Vit b12 injections). For me, I had to have iron infusions because i developed periodic anemia from decreased nutrient absorption.

I also lost 70 lbs previous to the surgery through twice daily exercise and low volume eating - that was 3 years before surgery, but once I went back to work, I couldn't keep up that level of exercise and gained it back.

I said she she LOST WEIGHT OVER 2 YEARS after a family tragedy, which isn’t sudden weight loss

by Anonymousreply 53March 16, 2022 11:50 AM

It’s Chrissie Swan. Peter Ford has criticised her for before, for being a bad mother for going on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here when she had an 18 month year old.

by Anonymousreply 54March 16, 2022 11:55 AM

My weight loss took 2 years with gastric bypass.

by Anonymousreply 55March 16, 2022 11:56 AM

Sudden weight loss is also often a cover for loads of work (Adele):

by Anonymousreply 56March 16, 2022 11:58 AM

I’d worry more about the vascular structures that nourish portions of the gastrointestinal tract. There is a serious complication called an eschemic injury to the blood vessels that nourish and sustain your intestines and colon. Personally I’ve had friends lose loved ones from damage due to bad gastric sleeves and complications that arose slowly until becoming untreatable. It sounds implausible, but you can technically have forms of necrosis in the lower portion of your GI tract, and end up with a colostomy, or worse. I wouldn’t fuck with vital organs, and certainly not for appearances sake. I’d watch the long term, longitudinal data on the safety of these procedures, especially cheap forms of them undertaken in foreign countries. That’s a thing now, “medical tourism”.

by Anonymousreply 57March 16, 2022 1:06 PM

You can't deny it's worked for Chrissy Swan. Money well spent. She's finally getting more work in primetime, between The Project, Would You Lie To Me, her Priceline commercials.... when she was fat she was still doing trash like The Circle during daytime.

I just saw her the other day flirting with the hot Lebanese dude from A1 Bakery... she's really feeling her puss now that she's lost so much weight!

by Anonymousreply 58March 16, 2022 2:00 PM

r57 being that I'm 19 years out and got my surgery from a legit, US doctor, and still alive and kicking, I'd say I'm pretty safe at this point. As is my best friend, who got their surgery done at Kaiser Permanente.

by Anonymousreply 59March 16, 2022 6:29 PM

Authentic weight loss surgery doesn't really show the results immediately. It's a process, if you're doing it correctly. The chick who played Precious had weight loss surgery and she has kept a low key profile. Getting the surgery is just half the battle, you have to retrain your brain and your relationship with food. Plus there is the after surgery to remove skin.

by Anonymousreply 60March 16, 2022 6:35 PM

Oh HUNNY.

The only “portion control” is the NUMEROUS PORTIONS YOU SHOVED DOWN YOUR THROAT.

The only “Pilates” she ever did was that SWEATY, FAST PACED STRUT TO MAGNOLIA BAKERY FICE MINUTES BEFORE CLOSE FOR MORE CUPCAKES.

by Anonymousreply 61March 16, 2022 6:36 PM

[Quote] … an 18 month year old.

R54 Please tell us more about this delightful baby/adult that Chrissie has. It sounds like it suffers from some sort of Benjamin Button syndrome. Fascinating.

R63 one of the two hot brothers. They sometimes post photos on the A1 Instagram but they look better IRL and are very charming in the shop. Chrissie is about twice his age but was trying to get it in lol.

Everyone flirts with them it's honestly half the reason to go to the bakery but I just thought it was hilarious that it was Chrissie, this newly confident D-list Aussie TV presenter with no sense of shame or anything at all haha.

Big Chrissie won't stay skinny for too long if she eats too much high-cholesterol food supplied by the very pretty Anthony @ R67

by Anonymousreply 68March 17, 2022 1:10 AM

Why would she be buying baked goods?

by Anonymousreply 69March 17, 2022 8:50 AM

Never thought I’d see A1 Bakery get a mention on the DL
