Zoe was bland as hell until she got plastic surgery to look even more like her own mother. But she's almost veering into Bratz doll territory. Hollywood has been trying to make Zoe happen for over a decade now.

Personally I really like Zoe Kravitz. I think she's gorgeous and charming. I haven't read any of the threads about her here. But DL does tend to despise any performer whose heyday occured after the year 1971. If they were never a guest star on either the Dick Cavett show or Whose Line Is it Anyway, DL hates them.

Facts

I don't think Lisa or Lenny identify as just Black. They are both confident in their identities as mixed people and have respect for both sides. Most biracial people now come from two parent homes so they don't choose a side. They still are part of the Black community and act in black roles because of how America works. If you are part black and most importantly look black you are treated as such. Hollywood also is just now finally creating mixed race characters for these actors to play. You can't blame biracial people for how Americans think and the fact their mixed identity was historically invalidated because of racism.

Zoe is gorgeous and I like her acting.

It just feels like there are many more just so-so actors today. They don't really have much personality or charisma. And sometimes they are just okay looking. Zoe is fine but I don't think she would have an acting career if not for her parents.

Zoe admitted in some interview she never really felt comfortable in identifying as Black especially because her upbringing was more typical of a rich Hollywood kid who didn't struggle or have to deal with racism because of her connections. Just like Jaden and Willow Smith and the Obama daughters. She had more in common with her rich kid peers of all skin colors. I think it makes sense, once you belong to a certain class, racial barriers and identity are significantly lessened (not always but money and status really helps). Zoe said she does try to educate herself and get involved in Black culture because she felt left out of it. I genuinely think she's a good person and raised well.
