Yet others aren't?
Why are some Twitter link previews coming through "mini-sized"?

Oh. Cool. It's not just me.

It's been happening for a few days now, I've tried using different browsers and it happens on all of them. Like R1, I'm glad it's not just me.

I haven't seen it happening, can you link a thread where is is occurring?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 17, 2022 2:06 AM |
It happened again for me. I am sad.

This site's usability goes down even futher with the new inability to see tweets.
It also means that DL traffic is being driven to twitter because we now have to click on the link. Before we could just see whatever the poster was referring to without giving twitter any engagement. If anything, this new policy helps twitter rather than harms it.

Posting the mobile version of a Twitter link increases the chances of the preview appearing, although it doesn't in itself guarantee it.

Use nitter to view twitter.
Tale the wew.twitter. com out of the link and replace section with nitter.privacydev.net, leaving the remaining link the same.

I use nitter.privacydev.net because it's reliable but it's far from the only one.
Here are all the alternate urls to view twitter:
