I have been checking Manchester indie scene these days and came across the Happy Mondays (i have heard of them before, of course), the band that had few hits in 80s.
They had some good songs and watching the video clips I noticed that the singer Shaun Ryder, an Irish Mancunian, in spite of being ugly, stooped over man, had a lot of sex appeal. I thought before that he was just ugly, but now I see he was a jolie laide type. Must have been his voice, cool demeanor and swagger.
What do you think?

He is a fascinating and hilarious man with a really quite a sad history. He and Bez are on a show called Gogglebox or were. Look up some clips. They are incredibly funny if you get their humour.
