by Anonymousreply 1March 13, 2022 1:52 AM

Can one of you fat whores please explain "dollface" to me?

by Anonymousreply 2March 13, 2022 2:01 AM

Is it a rescue lamb?

by Anonymousreply 3March 13, 2022 2:02 AM

[quote]Can one of you fat whores please explain "dollface" to me?

No. You're too dumb, clearly.

by Anonymousreply 4March 13, 2022 2:02 AM

My birthday is here at last!

A birthday goes by so fast.

by Anonymousreply 5March 13, 2022 2:03 AM

My dog does that, pawing at me as if to say, "Pet me, slave! Pet me, now!"

I generally oblige.

Doll+face=dollface, you dumb bozo, R2.

by Anonymousreply 6March 13, 2022 2:03 AM

She has LOTS OF FEELINGS.

by Anonymousreply 11March 13, 2022 2:30 AM

Baby lamb is a dollface. Thank you for sharing the cuteness, OP.

by Anonymousreply 12March 13, 2022 2:34 AM

They're so cute when young, you could eat them... not so much as adults - but I saw a clip of the most adorable dollface type adult sheep recently, I wish I could find it. They were SO cute. OP would love them.

by Anonymousreply 13March 13, 2022 2:37 AM

I've seen this before. It's sad because he's going to be killed for his flesh. Or has already.

by Anonymousreply 14March 13, 2022 2:38 AM

[quote]It's sad because he's going to be killed for his flesh.

Maybe they'll keep him alive for milk or/& wool.

by Anonymousreply 15March 13, 2022 2:40 AM

MARY! has a little lamb

by Anonymousreply 16March 13, 2022 2:42 AM

sheep are too much of a hassle. messy nasty things and you're constantly having to go chase the welsh out of their pens.

goats are a better investment

The lamb is cute and the guy, from what I can see, looks hot.

I'm sure DL will find something to bitch about though.

by Anonymousreply 18March 13, 2022 3:47 AM

[quote]They're so cute when young, you could eat them... not so much as adults -

You just reminded me of the time my mother dragged me to a "baby shower" about twenty years ago. It was actually for the adoption of an Asian toddler. The proud would-be parents passed around the latest photos that everyone was oohing and aahing at. One elderly woman (grandmother or great-aunt) remarked matter-of-factly, "Adorable! It's a shame they're so ugly when they're grown," Everyone paused for a few moments, not knowing how to react. Deep inside I was laughing hysterically. Later on the ride back home, my mom and I couldn't stop laughing. It was so random. 😂

by Anonymousreply 19March 13, 2022 4:08 AM

R19, sadly that's what Elanor Roosevelt said about Jewish child refugees from Europe.

by Anonymousreply 20March 13, 2022 4:13 AM

[quote]Can one of you fat whores please explain "dollface" to me?

I think it stems from Dolly the sheep. The first animal to be cloned. She was a big sensation in the late '90s. Named after Dolly Parton and everyone thought she was so cute when she was "born."

by Anonymousreply 21March 13, 2022 4:16 AM

"Is it a rescue lamb? "

Yep, rescued in time for Easter dinner

by Anonymousreply 22March 13, 2022 4:18 AM

Mary had a little lamb

Her father shot it dead

Now Mary takes her lamb to school

Between two pieces of bread.

by Anonymousreply 23March 13, 2022 4:21 AM

It's called "animal husbandry". Yes, they're raised to be eaten. And a decent human will protect them from harm and fear their entire lives. A warm place to sleep and bear kids. Genuine affection. A place to sleep out of the rain. Good food every day of the year.

The price of comfort and care is, well, you're killed and eaten.

Seems like a good bargain. It's horrible for animals to be constantly hunted and subject to intestinal worms, disease, and insects.

But keep believing that lunch just came out of nowhere and meat comes pre-wrapped in styrofoam and plastic wrap.

Instead of transing kids they should be learning how to hunt and how a slaughterhouse operates.

by Anonymousreply 24March 13, 2022 4:24 AM

[quote] Is it a rescue lamb?

They were slaughtering the spring lambs.

by Anonymousreply 25March 13, 2022 4:29 AM

The nasty posts have taken over. Maybe they're right, the reality is this little babe probably didn't have long.

by Anonymousreply 26March 13, 2022 4:34 AM

Marry me, r20

by Anonymousreply 27March 13, 2022 5:24 AM

R27, I wasn't making a joke though. She did say that early on, and later had an about-face and advocated for their acceptance as refugees.

by Anonymousreply 28March 13, 2022 5:26 AM

I assumed you were quoting her in an attempt at dark humor, r20.

Despite her "about-face" later, it really was a shitty thing to say, but it was so unexpected to see that in this thread that I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity.

by Anonymousreply 29March 13, 2022 5:36 AM

What did she actually say?

by Anonymousreply 30March 13, 2022 5:42 AM

Mmmmmm that lamb looks delicious. I hope he tasted very good.

by Anonymousreply 31March 13, 2022 5:51 AM

There are people who don't know this term?!

Ever heard of "Guys and Dolls"?

According to the OED, "doll" was a word for "mistress" from the mid-16th C. Also a nickname for "Dorothy." Today it denotes an attractive woman.

So "dollface" in this instance connotes an abundance of cuteness.

by Anonymousreply 32March 13, 2022 5:57 AM

Oh, come on, this little guy is cute too. He's call Chicken McNugget

A decent human wouldn't breed animals so they can be killed, torn apart, and eastern.

There was a cool t-shirt with a drawing of a sweet little lamb. It said "What kind of asshole eats a lamb?"

If a person in the contemporary developed world eats animals after watching animal slaughter, he or she is a sociopath or psychopath. I've been acquainted with a few of the type (hunters and a kid who showed me a video of slaughter) and stayed far away. They invariably committed betrayal, fraud, and/or worse on others.

by Anonymousreply 34March 13, 2022 7:10 AM

Wow! OP's little lamb looks delicious! Now I have a hankering for a gyro plate.

by Anonymousreply 35March 13, 2022 7:12 AM

Are you from North, R34?

by Anonymousreply 36March 13, 2022 6:23 PM

It's funny I'd forgotten this. When I was a kiddie we had a cottage in the country about an hour from London and on the other side of our stream were fields of sheep. On summer evenings I'd fall asleep to the sounds of lambs calling out to their moms and the moms calling them back. I guess you could call it a dollface memory.

Nice to remember something nice for a change.

by Anonymousreply 37March 13, 2022 6:50 PM

So we're hissing to protect "dollface" but posters had heavy period flow days over "bearking?"

by Anonymousreply 43March 13, 2022 6:58 PM

by Anonymousreply 44March 13, 2022 7:00 PM

R34, I promise to consume only Western animals.

Omg, Cutie-lamb acts just like my cats when i quit scratching/rubbing them. Put their paws on my hand to say "More, Bitch! MORE!!!"

Is there such a thing as miniature sheep? I'd love to have a little lambie that stays little.

by Anonymousreply 50March 13, 2022 10:39 PM

Clarice, are the lambs still screaming?

by Anonymousreply 51March 14, 2022 12:22 AM

There are people on Instagram that pose their lambs and even grown sheep with flower garlands and wearing fuzzy pajamas. They are spotlessly clean and obviously a lot of work goes into it because they are white-furred and squeaky clean with no dirt at all. They photograph and video them every day and post how cute they are jumping on things. They make a living off doing this. So don’t assume every lamb ends up a lamb sandwich. They make money off them in other ways. If you had a monetized account with thirty million views, you wouldn’t be killing the lamb that laid the golden egg either.

Why does R41 think he's gay just based on that picture?

by Anonymousreply 57March 14, 2022 1:32 AM

R56 I'd forgotten what his lip looked like.

by Anonymousreply 58March 14, 2022 1:43 AM

[quote]Why does [R41] think he's gay just based on that picture?

Because he looked like a total homo to me. A gay guy with his dog.

I've never seen him in a movie - but I have seen pics of him around, now it's clarified who he is. He was Superman, right?

by Anonymousreply 59March 14, 2022 3:59 AM

Anyway why did the guy who posted the pic post it on here when this is about lambs, just out of the blue?

[quote]Is there such a thing as miniature sheep? I'd love to have a little lambie that stays little.

As I posted earlier - there is a breed of sheep that continue to look adorable as adults, I saw them on a TV show about getting people to date lonely farmers. They were SO cute.

by Anonymousreply 60March 14, 2022 4:03 AM

So cute

by Anonymousreply 61October 23, 2022 8:57 AM

Only in DL will a supercute post about a lamb be followed by the insane ravings of a thousand bitter queens

by Anonymousreply 62October 23, 2022 9:14 AM

I think you're projecting, R62.
