I'm an Eldergay who gave up on regular TV 10 years ago. It's aimed mostly at 60+ year old people with a similar IQ. I don't know how anyone can watch TV it's all awful

Currently, my "must watch" show is "Severance." Here's a thread about it that shows me that few people here are watching it. You should check it out! Prior to that show, I watched "Maid" - another great show. As far as "old people shows" go, if there's nothing else on, I watch Mary Tyler Moore, as do many of you.

The Honeymooners. When I was growing up most of the young people were addicted to the reruns. Maybe the only sitcom that holds up consistently. But then it was only one season.

My mom would watch any Lifetime or Hallmark Channel movie. When she got tired of those, it was Law & Order (any flavor), NCIS or Blue Bloods reruns. Ion TV is like their mecca.

R13, one of my OTA channels has "The Lost Honeymooners" with skits that came from the original Jackie Gleason Show. They're not all good, but they're worth a watch. Maybe you can find it.

There is not a single main network program I watch. I sampled the first several episodes of Blue Bloods and couldn't get int o it.

If Mother isn't watching cooking or house-flipping shows, she's watching Blue Bloods.

Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are the only other things she will watch aside from her weight and mine.

Law and Order SVU = cringe

PBS, or it's switched off, which is all day and only a few hours in the evenings.

Watching Saturday Morning Cartoons (like Disney's Gummy Bears, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Chip & Chap Rescue Rangers, Higher for Hire, etc.) while eating Nutella sandwiches.

Short version: Acorn TV and Britbox.

Though, my straight in-laws from Indiana (ten years older) do watch Blue Bloods, NCIS, and reruns of Matlock; so, OP isn't wrong about old people, just Gay old people.

Just started rewatching the Turn of the Screw storyline on Dark Shadows which introduced Quentin. Also have been watching Perry Mason again.

I recently discovered they're showing the old Perry Mason series on MeTV (twice a day!). I've become hooked on it. Except for the old chestnut of the guilty party being revealed in the last second in the courtroom (Yes, I killed him!), the show is really well-written. I love it.

Gary Cole is the new lead actor on the NCIS ensemble now. Anyone with a fetish for slim, charismatic geriatrics will enjoy. Monday nights on CBS!

I watch Warner Archive blurays with their dazzling Technicolor and youtube videos like B. Dylan Hollis who makes disgusting bizarre recipes from old cookbooks and Mr. Ballin who has to be one of the best storytellers I have ever come across. His true tales are often gruesome and horrifying and nothing seems to phase him. The man who went in for an operation with an anesthesiologist who didn't have a fucking clue was a doozy.

My dad is in his mid-80s, lives in South Florida, and tells me all the old folks in his condo community LOVE Bluebloods!

Yeah, what is it with Bluebloods? Tom Selleck will be working (past his grave) until the viewer folks who are currently early 60s finally die of old age. Plenty of other CBS crimey procedural shows besides Bluebloods.

I am under 50 and I can get behind some Wheel of Fortune. A few years ago Pat got sick and Vanna had to host the show for a week or so, but usually it is not that interesting.
