This is one of the best pieces Politico has run in a long time, and gives a very clear image of how unclear Adams is. It's long but if you're a New Yorker, or a politico type, it's very much worth the read.
reminds me of the chicago machine;
a lot of hype
but same ol' same ol'

What makes the piece good, I think, is that the author doesn't take a stand, one way or the other. She just presents all the voluminous material she's collected and lets the reader decide.

NYC is woke central now and it’s paying the price.

I can sum up the article in one short sentence: Eric Adams can be whatever he wants to be. No need for 10000 words of stream of consciousness.

Wow R6 -- You've figured out everything. Someone in NYC commits a brutal crime, and therefore it's the mayor's fault, and he can be colored by this one crime for the rest of his term. Nice going!

Well R8 he told everyone who have been working from home and keeping the city running for the last two years, they are LAZY and to get back to the office.
Fuck this piece of shit. It's like he wants more people to get murdered

NYC has seen an increase in crime since the laws about bail have changed. We now have "No Bail, No Jail". Repeat offenders are on the streets to murder again ... and they have.
"Bail Reform" was approved the state legislators . Adams has been to Albany three times to ask for revisions in the law, including giving judges discretion in sentencing, and has been told "No." He is trying, but fellow Democrats are giving him the finger.

Did he work his way up from the sanitation dept.?

The dems just can not wait to lose the midterms and the next presidential election.
They are fucking useless

Albany is the problem with bail reform. If you live in NYC vote R for state assembly and state Senate in November. Dems will probably still win most races but it will send a strong message to the party. Don’t assume everyone in NY is a. Progressive Democrat.

It’s hard to take this article seriously with stuff like this:
[quote] He does not look like the mayors who came before him, all of whom were white, with the exception of David Dinkins, who served a single term in the early 1990s,
