I don't know. She was just on WTF with Marc Maron and she came off as really intelligent and down to earth. She went into detail how Harvey Weinstein ruined her career. Apparently, Peter Jackson was going to hire her and Ashley Judd for big roles in the Lord of the Rings trilogy but Weinstein convinced him not to, saying they were both "difficult." So he didn't.

Years later, Jackson confessed as much and wrote a letter of apology to both. There were a bunch of articles about it.

Sorvino also saved Guillermo Del Toro from getting fired off of Mimic.

In her mind she could have had a huge career. She is unaware that her Oscar was not indicative of a great talent. She got lucky with that one role.
