I love all of them, but I personally found Affleck to be the most interesting of the Batman’s. Bale had the best movies.

You didn't include Adam West in your poll. He's my Batman.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | March 9, 2022 10:21 PM |
R1 you’re right. Sorry. I guess I was only thinking of the theatrical versions.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 9, 2022 10:24 PM |
Michael because he can act, and I will watch anything he is in.
Been watching him since Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
Plus, those versions still had some humour in them.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 9, 2022 10:33 PM |
Adam West is my Batman.
The character otherwise has been a bore.

Oh, dear's!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 9, 2022 10:48 PM |
Another vote for Adam West, and the campy 60's version.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 9, 2022 10:59 PM |
Christina Bale is still the gold standard for Batman and Bruce Wayne. All the ones before here were cartoon like jokes.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 9, 2022 11:01 PM |
prettiest: kilmer
interesting: keaton
most like batman the character: bale
looked best in the suit: affleck (because the suit made him look huge, rough and tough and musclebound...
most homoerotic: clooney because of gay director schumacher and those kinky rubber suits and of course adam west who with twink burt ward were in every episode filled with kinky, pervy homoerotica of the 60's tv show...
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 9, 2022 11:03 PM |
Michael Keaton.
I was in the 6th grade so nostalgia figures into my answer but I also agree with R3:
Michael because he can act, and I will watch anything he is in.
Plus, those versions still had some humour in them.
I'm not a Nicholson fan but I liked him in this.

R10 That is what gets me, they want the new ones to be all serious and dark. How about they actually explore Batman and Robin's relationship, as in their sexual relationship. You want to make a superhero movie that might win an Oscar there you have it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 9, 2022 11:11 PM |
These two guys, and the one with the biggest bat will win.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 9, 2022 11:15 PM |
R13
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 10, 2022 12:41 AM |
For me it's Keaton. Although i liked Ben's version too. And how could i not appreciate the bat nipples or ass shots from Clooney's.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 10, 2022 4:27 AM |
WTF is this?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 10, 2022 4:30 AM |
Adam West is pure camp. Funny if you're high, or a kid but not watchable as an adult.
Ever put on Rocky and Bullwinkle without smoking a joint first? It's kinda like that.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 10, 2022 5:52 AM |
What does the Batman possess?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 10, 2022 6:23 AM |
R12 grow up.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 10, 2022 3:32 PM |
R12 if they ever make that kind of movie it won't be winning any Oscars.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 11, 2022 2:05 AM |
Christian Bale. Not even close. He's a very talented actor.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 11, 2022 2:13 AM |
Keaton had the most beautiful lips in the Batman mask.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 11, 2022 2:37 AM |
Clooney, because batnips.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 11, 2022 2:45 AM |
Adam West
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 11, 2022 2:55 AM |
That'd be Kevin Conroy r4.
And that show was based off of the Michael Keaton Batman films. That's why Danny Elfman did the score for the intro theme song. He scored the Keaton Batman films.
Ah...memories. Every weekday at 4PM on Kid's WB.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 11, 2022 4:38 AM |
Another vote for West was best! The perfect camp that enhanced the role. The rest took themselves and their roles way too seriously.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 11, 2022 4:44 AM |
Adam West will always be my Batman - he was MY first!
If I have to choose from this group I would say Michael Keaton (although I don't enjoy him as an actor at all outside of this movie) and that is only because Prince did that amazing soundtrack.
As a side note, Keaton also had the best supporting cast of any of the Batman films to include standout performances by Kim Basinger and Jack Nicholson.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 11, 2022 5:46 AM |
Kevin Conroy.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 11, 2022 5:52 AM |
Another vote for Michael Keaton. I had my doubts before I saw the movies, but he was really great.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 11, 2022 6:25 AM |
Chris O'Donnell was the perfect Robin, so Clooney is my fave.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 11, 2022 6:27 AM |
Adam West is pure camp.
That’s why he’s the only good one. What else should we expect of a guy in a bat costume, for fuck’s sake?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 11, 2022 6:49 AM |
Adam West is the first person I think of when you say Batman.
If I have to choose from the Batmen of the past 35 years, I'd pick Keaton.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 11, 2022 6:59 AM |
New batman movie is damn good. DAMN GOOOOD.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 11, 2022 7:30 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 11, 2022 11:13 AM |
MY Batman is Michael Keaton (you never forget your first). However, I believe Robert Pattinson has been the best Batman, while Christian Bale was the best Bruce Wayne, and Keaton was the best all-around Batman.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 11, 2022 11:23 AM |
Speaking of Adam West, it was interesting in that his characterization did the opposite of every other Batman. In that, his bruce wayne was more macho and reserved and dignified than when he was Batman. It was always the opposite, meaning bruce wayne was suppose to be a carefree somewhat stupid self absorbed playboy and batman serious, moody and dangerous. West did the opposite....
In regards to the 60's campy tv show, I always fantasize and imagine if they had cast instead of Adam West, what if they had someone like CLINT WALKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR STEVE REEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... can any and all even fathom what those 2 would look like in that batman suit and those faces and eyes under the cowl! OH MY GOD INFINITE!.... and then in every episode of those kinky pervy homoerotic capture and trap scenes with twinky robin! you talk about smoke coming out of the TV it would be so wicked and hot!....
Of course, realistically clint would be too big and muscled and a blind person would know his bruce wayne and batman were the same person... both clint and steve reeves couldn't and WOULD NOT WANT to do the campy batman and campy show... but both would have been PURR-FECT playing the handsome playboy himbo AND batman, the right age on both, the looks, the body and so on....
okay, i have to end this now, i'm having vision of 6'6 clint walker in that batman costume in a kinky homoerotic trap with 5'8 twink burt ward!
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 11, 2022 12:41 PM |
In my world DOOL's James Scott is either Superman or Batman.
Most of the guys cast as Batman are a joke based on height, looks or acting range.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 11, 2022 3:10 PM |
I don’t have a Batman.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 11, 2022 3:11 PM |
I liked the funny/campy Tim Burton Batmans, which reflected the tone of the 60s TV series.
With age-erasing CGI, why can't Keaton play him again? But please drop the dreary seriousness. It's a bat-man, for pete's sake.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 11, 2022 3:15 PM |
I did not enjoy Heath Ledger in his role as Joker.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | March 11, 2022 4:40 PM |
Keaton. He can do both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Everyone else seemed to be a good one or the other, not both.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | March 11, 2022 4:42 PM |
With age-erasing CGI, why can't Keaton play him again?
He is. Keaton is the official Batman for the DCEU with the first two films now cannon. He filmed “The Flash” and “Batgirl” so far. He’s signed on for like 16 films and is rumored to be getting his own live-action Batman HBO Max series. The first two films were very dark. However, they remembered that they were making a friggin comic book film - heightened reality. They were smart and ahead of their time. I hated the campy Schumacher films. Warner Bros was looking to sell toys.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | March 11, 2022 4:44 PM |
R43 To me Keaton was my first but it was Batman Returns, and I feel like it was both campy and dark, like camp gothic. I happened to love the Schumacher films, especially the bat nipples. But, for me it was less about Batman in those films than Robin, I just loved Chris O'Donnell's Robin.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | March 11, 2022 4:50 PM |
R44... o'donnell should have LIVED in that robin costume 24/7... all those incredible bulge crotch shots and ass shots! and of course the scenes of him acting positively orgasmic in face close-ups whenever his face was blown by love/lust dust by poison ivy....
by Anonymous | reply 45 | March 11, 2022 6:04 PM |
Chris O’Donnell was so hot. It’s a shame that boy couldn’t act for shit. He also lost some of his appeal when he married his homely childhood sweetheart.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | March 11, 2022 7:02 PM |
it should be an automatic disqualifier if you like the bat nipples.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | March 11, 2022 7:03 PM |
How about they actually explore Batman and Robin's relationship, as in their sexual relationship.
Because Robin is underage when Bruce Wayne adopts Dick Grayson as his ward.
Also, though fan speculation has been high ever since Dr. Fredric Wertham wrote [italic]Seduction of the Innocent,[/italic] it has never been canon that Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson had a sexual relationship.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | March 11, 2022 7:06 PM |
Hank Aaron.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | March 11, 2022 7:10 PM |
r48 Titans flirt with the idea, though. The sort of arrested development sugar daddy that is unable to retain relationships with women, is dependent upon Alfred and actively seeks young rough trade and twinks, he can (ahem) see himself in.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | March 11, 2022 7:25 PM |
r50 it's a fujoshi/fundashi's wet dream.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | March 11, 2022 7:27 PM |
R48 They can play around with things like that, make Robin legal and turn it into a superhero Call Me By Your Name.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | March 11, 2022 9:34 PM |
I would like to know about Alfred's sex life. Who was he blowing? Commissioner Gordon? With all their attentiveness to the "needs" of the master of the house, I doubt many "Butt-lers" are straight! On tv they all seem to act a bit effeminate and fastidious! They are priss pots!
by Anonymous | reply 53 | March 11, 2022 9:47 PM |
This Bitch looks gay AF! I can't imagine him even being interested in holding a woman's hand.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | March 11, 2022 9:48 PM |
Can you believe this guy wasn't considered for Batman but Armie Hammer was?
Eion Baily - He was in that dance film Center Stage and Band of Brothers
by Anonymous | reply 55 | March 11, 2022 10:07 PM |
The one with the big Batman dick. Christian Bale of course.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | March 11, 2022 10:24 PM |
PATTINSON WAS FABULOUS, THATS WHY HIS BATMAN IS A MEGA HIT. HIM ONE SEXXXY MO FO
by Anonymous | reply 57 | March 13, 2022 4:06 AM |
I think Adam West might have been the best Bruce Wayne. Bale was, for me, the best in the suit. I still feel like we haven't gotten the best Batman yet, they all seem a bit off in one way or another. But I can't think of a current actor I would prefer, either.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | March 13, 2022 4:21 AM |
Robt Pattinson can ram his bat up into me now !

by Anonymous | reply 61 | March 15, 2022 11:38 AM |
I agree with eldergay Kevin Conroy.
IMO, there hasn't been a good Batman live adaptation yet. BTAS managed to present an essential and timeless Batman. None of the movies achieved this so far.
