I only know one gay men who does this, and he's trashy in other ways as well.

No socks with shoes is disgusting. I do not know anybody over the age of 18 who does it.

In the 1950s my mother wore these low socks, they were called Peds.

Because they prefer the tummy control of pantyhose.

In the 80’s growing up a lot of the hot older WASPy preps did this where I lived. It really depends on the guy and how he dresses but sometimes it’s sexy. Other times trashy and desperate. Not in winter, though.

The seemingly sock less look does make a guy look more sporty and fun
