Jonathan Groff Set to Star in M. Night Shyamalan’s Highly Anticipated “Knock at the Cabin”

According to reports, the film is based on the book “Cabin at the End of the World” which is about a gay male couple and their daughter whose vacation home gets invaded by a cult. I would bet they are playing the couple.

That’s a great booking for Groff. And out gay man. Fabulous news.

Interesting that both characters are being played by out gay actors.

Both Ben Aldridge and Groff? Sounds hot. Too bad Shymalan hasn't been able to produce a hit since The Sixth Sense.

I am glad that Aldridge is joining the likes of Quinto, Groff and the other few gay men actually being cast by Hollywood. I quite like him and I was afraid his coming out would send him into the depths of acting obscurity, like so many less fortunate gays before.

Was Aldridge getting any work before he came out? Most people just know him as the guy who fucked Phoebe Waller Bridge on Fleabag. Post coming out, he immediately booked that Jim Parsons movie and now this. It seems coming out helped him.

I don't think so R10 so even better for him really. It's so rare that someone gets more work on coming out. He got the Long Call too which seemed like it was kind of cathartic for him.

I wonder whether he's well-connected or just lucky?
