Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer have joined the cast of 'Only Murders in the Building'.

The hit Hulu series's second season will see the addition of the 87-year-old Hollywood legend and the 40-year-old 'Trainwreck' star.

They join an already stellar cast of Selena Gomez (Mabel), Martin Short (Oliver) and Steve Martin (Charles).

Martin, 71, who is also an executive producer on the comedy, told Deadline: “Before Christmas, [I shot scenes with] Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer.

A facelift wouldn't work on someone that old, right? I believe the skin usually becomes thin and delicate in old age, and smoothing it out might do more harm than good, along with making the person look odd and ghoulish.

If her daughter is to believed Shirley MacLaine is nutty as a fruitcake and her husband Steve Parker was a pervy con artist. I think that's true. Sachi Parker seems kind of ditzy herself. She gives interviews where she talks about being put on a place at the age of 2, shipped off to Japan to the care of her pervy father, supposedly to prevent "the mob" from kidnapping her. She talks about being left stranded at a boarding school, both of her parents seemingly have forgotten that school was over for Christmas vacation and they needed to come collect their daughter. She ended up being boarded for two weeks by some kindly people. She talks about how her mother believed that her husband Steve was a clone and that the real one was named Paul and in orbiting in space. When the interviewer states that anyone who would think that would have to have to have "a screw loose" but Sachi said she chooses to believe that her mother was "wide eyes...and SO full of wonder." She seems goonily cheerful when recounting all these insane incidents and all the abuse. But she did say that she hoped that MacLaine would own all the pain that she caused and "apologize." I doubt that will ever happen.

Janis Paige was the top-billed star of THE PAJAMA GAME on Broadway. Shirley was a mere chorus girl who made good as an understudy to Carol Haney in the show, not to Janis. This is not in refute to anything upthread, just me giving a little context to the Janis/Shirley connection.

By the time THE PAJAMA GAME was made into a film, neither Janis nor Shirley were cast in it. I'm not sure if Shirley was already too big of a movie star to have been cast in the Carol Haney role.
