They're jumping on the #FreeBritney cultural wave. All the young female stars that were stalked and demonized back in the 2000s are now seen as tragic victims. So Mary Kate and Ashley, Paris and Nicole, Lindsay, Raven, Amanda Bynes, they're all seen with more sympathy now, and people want to see them win and achieve in their later years. And yes, if you meet enough people at the gym, most of them are losers. Many of them have had bad things happen to them in their life, and the only control they have is with their body. Similar people eat to feel a sense of control and assuage their feelings.

The girl in that movie that came out twenty years before I was born who is an old lady now. She’s culturally irrelevant with adults because of how publicized her challenges were. I supported Lindsay big time until her Oprah series. It was then that I stopped seeing her as a troubled girl dealing with a lot and realized she was a spoiled, unstable, nasty drug addict who caused most of her problems.

Still, this is a sad and trashy way to reintroduce yourself, exploiting the wounds of the past for cheap jokes and a paycheck. This doesn’t make me think she’s in a better state of mind. This just makes me think she’s run out of money and her dealers have closed the tabs.
