'Hush' with Jessica Lange, Gwyneth Paltrow
I'd wanted to see this forever, but it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. Gwyneth does live in the most fake '90s New York loft ever to exist (the bathroom is in the middle of the room and the walls are glass bricks).
Jessica is, of course, the best thing about it, but she can't make a bad script work. And the reshot ending looks like it was shot two years after the original -- everyone's hair is different and Gwynnie seems to be wearing a wig.
Does anyone know anything about this production, especially the original ending?

Lots of rumors about Gwyneth and Jessica hating each other during filming. I think Paltrow confirmed it at one point.
And Johnathon was otherworldly hot in this. Jesus.

This is one of the first movies i checked out when i got Netflix. It felt like Jessica was acting in a completely separate movie because she was so ott.

Never heard of this one and trashy thrillers are a favorite genre of film. I dislike the ingenue, I would refuse to see this because of her.

I saw this back when it was called "Kilronan," with the ending where Lange sets the carriage house on fire and perishes, perhaps an hommage to Mrs. Danvers' finale. For some reason test audiences didn't like this ending and the ending that was shot later seemed hastily tacked on and was a big letdown.
