That man has one of the creepiest and most obsessive fan bases I’ve ever come across.

He’s in that Father Stu movie with Mark Wahlberg that’s coming out in April playing a priest and supposedly co-wrote a miniseries that he’s producing as well. I thought he was good in that Eden show that came out last year.

That's because they're mostly young, impressionable, teen, girls. And he absolutely loves it. Like the borderline ephebophile, backwoods bogan, weirdo that he is.

The sad thing is, the more obsessive and invasive fans of his are mostly in their mid 20s - early 30s these days like that main fan account of his on Instagram that seems to spend a lot of their spare time tracking him down and what he’s up to however they can.

I’m just baffled by the obsession they have with him and how proud some of his fan base actually are when it comes to the lengths that they go to in order to get info or photos of him and find it really weird but I guess that’s what current “fan culture” has devolved into these days. The more invasive you are, the more “internet clout” you get from other fans for basically “stalking” your fave. I guess it’s free publicity for him though and it feels like he needs it.

If I recall correctly, r12, he opened the door for the craziness by getting a little too "personal" on his page a while back on a, since deleted, post wherein he disclosed some information about his past that in so many words basically read: "I used to be fat, ugly, socially awkward, and clinically depressed." So, naturally, the fat, ugly, socially awkward, and clinically depressed individuals who follow him were vindicated because "OMG, he's jUSt LiKE mE!!"

All in all, he clearly suffers from ugly duckling syndrome and and is the type who wasn't used to getting attention. Thus, when he finally started getting it, and for his looks no less, he decided to milk it for all its worth. And this, inevitably, attracted the mentally unhinged to his fanbase.

Speaking of ugly duckling syndrome, I've seen photos of some pretty radical transformations with people from high school and middle school. Weird how that happens.

Very handsome, but he was very foolish to put himself out there a fashion freakshow before he had established himself as an actor.

Ezra Miller made a similar mistake. Now both people see their names and think "Freak" before they think "Good actor."

The problem is that cats like Cody Fern and Ezra Miller are trying to resurface the androgyny trend of the 80s and it's just...not working. Mainly because they're conflating androgyny with this new "gender identity" mixed bag of crazy that's turned a lot of people off, and for good reason. Being androgynous as a fashion choice is cool. But it falls flat when you start going on and on about being "queer not gay" or "pansexual" (how that's not just bisexual, I don't know...)

David Bowie, Prince, Micki Free (he's not a girl, lol), Motley Crue, they knew how to do androgyny back in the day. And for some reason, they were swimming in groupie poon because of it. This new generation of androgynous dudes are just obnoxious and come off as preachy and inauthentic as opposed to just doing and wearing what they want.
