I think a gay man's gaydar depends on two things: (1) How attractive YOU are and (2) How observant YOU are!

Not always. People who say they do usually are pointing out the most obvious queens. Almost all effeminate men are gay but not all gay men are effeminate. That said I do think gay men are way more likely to dress better, take care of their bodies and walk with more rhythm and quickly. Even if they are big, muscular or chubby there's some androgynous quality. The stereotypical gay face which is thin with wide-set eyes, curved eyebrows, small chin and big lips tends to be truer than not.
