I love Jan Böhmermann…although his one and only US talk show appearance with Seth Myers was pretty cringey. He’s considered the German version of John Stewart.

Some people here in Europe do know who fucking Peter Thiel is, but not that many are aware of his meddling in US politics and his Alt-Right stance. I hope this will change now thanks to dear Böhmi and his team. <3

The pictures in "german affection for natural selection" intentionally just miss a few too many right angles. The ambiguity is brilliantly staged, Leni would be jealous. Although, Thiel is not only made of steel*, but of Riefenstahl.

R16, well no, because Böhmermann does great investigating stuff regarding Germany, too. Last week, he did a great piece about the abysmal state of mental health service in Germany, disclosing that German public health providers earn a fucking lot of money with dubious "mental health" apps.

Sick thing is, he'd probably love that video and take it as a (Riefenstahlesque, as R17 says) panegyric.

Is Thiel a narc? If so, he probably jerks off to that video.

Anyway, thanks to Böhmermann, he's getting exposed in Europe. So even if Peter jerks off to that video and its hot bodybuilders, he won't like the special dedicated to him preceding the music video. See R10 for it (English subs available).

When asked by the media magazine DWDL.de about the report, RTL spokesman Christian Körner said it was necessary first to examine the broadcast sequence and consult with the producers before making public comment.[2] RTL then removed the episode featuring the fake contestants from its library of available shows.[3] At the same time they denied part of the allegations, arguing that the contract had been repeatedly sent to the contestant's known address but had not been signed for, and that the 150 euro allowance corresponded to the monthly basic allowance for persons receiving unemployment benefits.[4] Later RTL conceded that "errors in editorial diligence were made" and announced that the production team for the current season would be replaced.[5]

As a result of the revelations, the Lower Saxony State Media Authority (NLM) launched an investigation. NLM Director Andreas Fischer criticized "the way the production company negotiates contracts with the contestants and badgers them, which is reminiscent of door-to-door salespeople." The NLM officially requested copies of the contracts sent by the production company Warner Bros. International Television Production Germany to contestants.[6]
