And there were some gays onboard that fateful voyage. Theater impresario Charles Frohman. Allegedly he quoted from the play PETER PAN as the ship sank.
What play, what lines would you quote while on board the sinking, shall we say, SS Mary!

OP Frohman was incredibly famous and successful—and one of Flo Ziegfeld’s many enemies. Billie Burke had been Frohman’s big discovery/star—under contract to him—and when Burke married Ziegfeld, he went ballistic. He put her show on a US tour to separate Billie from Flo and he had other plans to both mess up their relationship and eventually, her career. In one of the many bits of luck Ziegfeld experienced throughout his life, Frohman died.

Going down on the Titanic......Washington DC original gay power couple
"Archibold Butt lived in a large mansion at 2000 G Street NW[63] with the painter Francis Davis Millet, who also died in the sinking of the Titanic. "Millet, my artist friend who lives with me" was Butt's designation for his companion. They were known for throwing spartan but large parties that were attended by members of Congress, justices of the Supreme Court, and President Taft himself"

R7 there’s already a Titanic thread.

Who was Butt and why does he get cough top billing in your post r7?

I mentioned this in the Titanic thread, but thought I would add it here. Erik Larson’s Dead Wake is an amazing read, and like all his books reads more like a novel then the detailed, absorbing nonfiction histories they are.

R6 Well, perhaps not in business but there were eyewitness accounts that Frohman and Alfred Vanderbilt (who also perished on the ship) organized the transfer of all the babies in the ship’s nursery to a lifeboat.
