Horror TV has been having a good run. I'm intrigued.

I'll give it a chance. I still like her show "Dirt" from the 2010s.

I didn't even recognize Sherilyn at first, not because she doesn't look great (she does) I just didn't expect to see her in this!

Hahahha her face is the same as it was ten years ago R11, how come people haven't gotten used to it yet? She will not go back to the small face she had in the 1990s.

I don't remember filming this.

I've already seen her in Shing Fillers, and that was genuine horror.

Between “Friends” and the “Scream” franchise, Courteney Cox knew that playing both comedy and horror were well within her wheelhouse — but something told her that the new Starz series “Shining Vale” would test her skills in unprecedented ways.

“Such a dramatic role that also was comedic was a balance that I hadn’t played in quite this way,” Cox said.

“I knew I wanted to be a part of it because of the creators,” said Cox. “I just know how talented they both are, and then I read it. And I just love the way within 30 minutes, there’s so many things to play and what she’s going through: having a teenage daughter, trying to get her family back together, going through this writer’s block – she feels just really unhappy and purposeless. It resonated, the fact that she’s depressed.” As bizarre supernatural activities increasingly invade her new environment, Pat’s fragile mental state inspires doubt among her family: a metaphor, both horrific and satiric, for the culture’s tendency to dismiss the problems of women of a certain age.

“It’s really heavy issues, and they’re real,” said Cox. “She’s not being believed when she sees a ghost for the first time and it’s just so frustrating…It’s an honest topic in every way. When you are the age that she is, it’s what people go through.” But the comedic aspect, she says, allows the scarier stuff to go down easier. “I love the comedy of it. I just love everything about this show: I love the sparring between me and Greg, and I love that it’s a half-hour – that’s just right up my alley. I have the attention span of hummingbird!”

Courteney's face has settled but still scarier than anything in Scream 5.

Tried to get through the first episode, it was terrible.

I didn’t like it. It reminded me of AHS a bit. Maybe I’ll give it another chance, but I found myself picking at holes in the plot instead of waving them away.

Cox and Sorvino are miscast.

I watched it all in April, and I am glad to know that there will be a season 2, Courteney is still a good actress.

I'm watching it now. The two leads are at least 15 years too old for the part. 59yo Kinnear looks fit and handsome, though. Cox is fit but her face is beyond hope.

Nice to see Sherilyn, who looks pretty and much more natural than Cox.

Courtney should embrace her looks, like Meg Foster has.

Too much has been removed from Courtney face. It will now never age normally.

The problem is she needs to pull her hair off her face a bit and part it on the side. She looks fine, especially for a woman her age, but her hair style is aging her.

yes a short do would help. She had some on Friends and was pretty.

Is she still engaged to that Irish dude?

Her hair is black and she's only ever been seen that way. Most white women lighten their hair as they age because the stark contrast of black hair against a pale face emphasizes features and complexion, including all the imperfections that come with aging. But it just wouldn't be 'on brand' for her to have lighter-colored hair.

I've seen interviews with her that made me like her. She doesn't take herself seriously. She has admitted in interviews that she fucked up her face with weird procedures and was trying to stop it, but that it's hard to age on camera. That's fair and honest.

She also has said she was too busy or too lazy to memorize some of her lines on Friends and would tape them onto objects to read while shooting the show, and that her castmates who did the work would sabotage her by taking the cues away and leaving her to fend for herself. That's obviously unprofessional of her to have done, but I give her a lot of credit for admitting it. I like her. She seems to be in touch with reality and not regard herself as more important than she is.

Didn't she have chunky highlights as Gail Weathers?

The series is enjoyable if nothing special. Courtney Cox is doing a better job than I expected.

Why don't they just call it "Shining 90s Has-Beens?

She also had brown hair on Screm 2, Scream 2 and 3 aired two nights ago and her haircut was horrible in Scream 3.

I'm 4 episodes in and honestly, it's better than the first season of AHS except for the Jessica Lange part.

The acting and scripts are tighter.

Season 2 is out soon. I wonder which direction they’re taking.

The chemistry between Courtney Cox and Greg Kinnear is fabulous.
