Over the weekend, I tried to log into my OF account and received a "password incorrect" error, which makes no sense as the password is saved in my password app and hasn't been changed. I requested a password reset email a few times and did not receive one. I emailed OF support and then received an email with a link saying that they need to verify my account. I clicked the link which took me to the login page. I then received an email with a password reset link, so changed my password and logged in.
When I logged in, there was a message on the screen that my account had been limited to verify my identity and that I need to upload a picture of my driver's license or passport. I emailed support again and received this response. (I did not provide a photo id)
"Your account has been re-activated. Your payments were deactivated by a dedicated team. You need to pass identity verification to avoid future possible deactivation.
Ondato identity verification request has been sent to you by email as well. You will be redirected to a certified document verification service Ondato.com to complete your Identity Verification. We recommend using a mobile device or device with a camera to pass this verification step.
Once the required info would be provided all of the payment restrictions will be lifted."
I haven't had an active subscription in months, so am not sure why my payments would have been deactivated.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm certainly not uploading a photo id to OF. People use credit cards every second of the day across the web without being asked for photo id.
