In Texas, the county judge is the chief elected officer for the county. Lina Hidalgo is young, a Democrat, vegan and an immigrant. Under her leadership, innovations have made voting much easier, including drive-through voting, 24-hour polling places in a few locations and letting people vote at any precinct, not just their home precinct. Republicans hate her guts.

I'm in Houston and let me tell you this Lina Hidalgo is everything that terrifies and triggers deplorables. She's female, a college grad, a democrat and ethnic. Remember Dan Patrick is the one who was against a state mask mandate because the elderly should be willing to risk dying since they are old anyway.
