Who's reminiscing about this film this week?
It was a big deal in it's day and one of the few "Chick Flicks" I actually liked

The movie mainly works because of Whoopi's great performance, Swayze's likability and their chemistry together. Demi was ok, but countless other actresses could've played that role. The supporting cast was also well cast.

This was a quintessentially feel-good film made for the masses, which I don't generally go for, but it was an exceptionally well written and directed movie, and the collective chemistry of Whoopie, Swayze and Goldwyn (I thought he was hot, too), along with the supporting cast, fit together like pieces in a puzzle.
Ghost was one of those rare movies that's hard not to like.
