Miss Torso's boyfriend!

Watching Rear Window, never noticed how short Stanley was in the ending scene (around 30 seconds) , he was practically a midget! There is no way the hot and sexy Miss Torso would go out with him.

I just went thru the uncredited roles on IMDB trying to figure out who played Stanley but none of the actors named look short enough.

Benny Bartlett played the boyfriend. I think Miss Torso called him Stanley — but he’s only credited on IMDB as Man with Miss Torso.

R2 found a promo photo of the actor, he was the short guy on the right.

Hitchcock did have a sense of humor, you know.

[quote] Darcy was 17 when she was chosen for the film. Hitchcock hired her based on a publicity photo of her with a green feather boa and dressed in a black leotard that emphasized her voluptuous figure...When Darcy met Hitchcock, she had no idea who the legendary director was. He suggested she get an agent, but she didn’t and consequently was paid only $350 for the role that would make her a pinup...After the film was completed, Hitchcock suggested, “If you go to Europe and study Chekov, I could make a big star out of you.” But she didn’t follow that advice either.

interesting story about the actress, it sounded like she missed a big opportunity to become a star, or maybe she had her own ideas and didn't miss much.
