Do you notice when they attack white gay people it gives them an excuse to be homophobic without being called out about it. Because most of them really are. That's why a lot of black gay people actually find they are safer with white gays than straight black men and black women who usually think of them as a threat.

I've seen more interracial gay and lesbian relationships than straight. Gays are a tiny minority and discrimination against race in gay clubs and bars and events would be counterproductive. Straight people especially religious of all colors tend to be homophobic. So gays would find more safety with each other regardless of racial background.

Also white gay men in urban areas who are socially active would interact a lot with black gays. The arts in general is diverse. The ball culture and disco scene was heavily black and Latino influenced. A lot of black women are fag hags.

A lot of what is gay culture arose from NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc. Urban areas which would be diverse. Straight culture is boring suburban (lack of) culture.
