Hugh Hefner had a gay love affair with his personal doctor which he kept hidden for decades, according to bombshell claims in a new documentary about his life. Dr Saginor was the true love of Hefner’s life and was even at his bedside when he died at his Holmby Hills mansion.

Not really surprising. The first article of Playboy had Marilyn Monroe on the cover and featured her nude pictures, it was essentially a fan tribute to his queen Marilyn. The prolapsed queens will start screaming he’s 100% gay now, because if you ever touch another dick you’re gay and bisexuality is a lie.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 27, 2022 7:47 PM |
He looks like what he was: the proverbial dirty old man who tried to hide his sleezy perviness behind a very thin facade of "class" and "sophistication." Also, major drug addict.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 27, 2022 7:57 PM |
DLers seem to think bisexuals are only mostly straight guys who fuck innocent gays and break their hearts to fall in love and settle with a woman. A common cliche in gay and lesbian movies too. When in actuality many bisexual men do prefer men and only can fall in love with another man. If they're marrying a woman it's only because they cave into social pressure or desire for children. It's choosing an easy path. I think Hef had a reputation to maintain. His readership also was contingent on his image. On Girls Next Door, Hef came across as a cultured old queen. Not very sexual to his girlfriends.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 27, 2022 7:58 PM |
Again, nothing new here. Ex girlfriends years ago went on the record that he had gay porn playing during the orgies and only seemed able to get off while watching it. He had women use dildos on him. His erections at the orgies were all medically produced. Again, all on the record.

Hefner also never owned the Playboy mansion. He was renting it, by the room. E.g., he paid $X for his bedroom, different amounts (per month) depending on which room.

That won't happen R6, because the prolapsed queens tend to have some semblance of good taste. Hugh Hefner looked like a dessiccated vulture when he was young, and he looked like he had been embalmed in vaginal thrush secretions for the last 30 years of his life. He was disgusting all around.
As R7 says, he was nothing but a dirty (and increasinyl pathetic) old man who liked to play Cary Grant dress up.

by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 27, 2022 8:08 PM |
I don't understand the reasoning behind the sudden focus on Hefner's supposed abuse. He's been dead for a few years. He ran a pornographic magazine that hired hot young girls to pose nude and a bunch of gentlemen's clubs that employed young women to wear bunny outfits. Women chose to work with him and chose to date and marry him. It's not like he was a film producer, a CEO, a college dean or etc that was forcing girls to sleep with him for careers. He ran a porn company and was pretty clear on what that entailed. And girls who agreed to be his sugar baby had conditions they had to follow. None of them were forced to do anything.

R14, Hefner pulled off one of the world's biggest cons: He convinced innumerable young women (and later not so young) that being shown naked to countless men and boys could be "classy." And further, that being named "Playmate of the Year" was akin to winning an Academy Award.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 27, 2022 9:04 PM |

A lot of women like being sexy and desired. So do many men. It's thrilling. Humans crave validation whether it's being praised for being intelligent, talented, funny, beautiful and etc. We are social animals. Mass media simply heightens our primal instincts. We tried hard to repress our desires using religion and once the 1960s hit. People wanted to rebel against the moral institutions and get paid for it too.

Well, people want to become famous and admired by people the never meet. What's the different between that and posing nude. Actors appeared nude in film and models appeared nude in some artistic shoots and that was always a thing since the advent of photography. People used to pose nude for paintings and that's been for centuries. What's different than being erotic model or porn star?

I don't imagine Hugh ever really loved anyone, male or female, but he became co-dependent with anyone of any gender that he used to maintain his fantasy. With Hugh and the doctor it was a number of factors: 1.) The doctor supplied H with drugs and H became dependent on those drugs to make him feel better. This turned into sexual dependency, especially when it came to substances allowing H to continue to have extreme sex physically at old age and/or after H lost interest in sex. 2.) When administering sexual-performance drugs, the good doctor probably helped gauge or intensify the effects by sucking H off to allow him to attain and maintain an erection before group sex. 3.) For legal reasons, the doctor was there to prevent deaths due to accidents or overdoses in the mansion, and there must have been scary close calls when H felt the doctor saved him from legal issues due to submissives, rape victims, and addicts almost dying. 4.) Due to the intense, violent, and demeaning nature of certain fetishes, the doctor was likely on call at all hours to monitor drugged participants who were unconscious and/or to treat humans who suffered degrading animal attacks or other wounds from bindings and illegal sexual acts. 4.) The doctor treated STDs and likely performed illegal abortions. 5.) When H was dying, the doctor was likely there giving drugs to make sure he wasn't suffering. ALL these complex matters lead to the most intense co-dependence in H's life, which must have felt emotional and sexual.

As a photographer I have to say you guys are wack jobs.
Playboy photography is marvelous .
Photographers used old school George Hurrell lighting techniques in colored contemporary settings. Their lighting setups were inspired by the 1930’s and 1940’s Hollywood and were anti-portrait photography, they lit models up like it was a movie set. They used 11-18+ lights vs the standard 3 light portrait setup, it was remarkable from a technical standpoint.
I remember a few months ago everyone here was raving about Playgirl, which for the most part is disgusting and sloppy photography work.
The closest gay imagery that got close to Playboy was Falcon Studios in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Chichi LaRue was definitely influenced by Playboy.
The Andrea Dworkinism in this thread is gross.
As a photographer I absolutely love love love Shannon Tweed’s 80’s Playboy spread. I think Hurrell shot some of the photos as well.

Oh who care if Hefner fucked a guy or guys. He was a sleazy asshole. That's all you need to know about him.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | January 31, 2022 4:27 AM |
r110, do you mean this one? Cause i can see a gay man styling her like a 40's movie star.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | January 31, 2022 4:27 AM |
As far as Hugh’s sexuality goes…
First of all, it’s obnoxious for so many here to see in black and white and say OH well this all means he’s gay and a closeted homo! Can’t be bisexuality, that’s not real! You’re either gay or straight if you’re a man!
I think money and power play a great role in male sexuality and when a man has money and power, he has more freedom to be sexually liberated.
It comes from the same place when straight rock stars and rappers wear women’s clothes and adopt feminine decadence in fashion and still get laid. Harry Styles wears dresses because he knows most girls he meet will fuck him in that dress.
It’s a pattern you see in ancient civilizations - gay sex was for the rich and powerful men.
I think that has a little to do with it. And I’m not saying straight as an arrow men do this but sexually fluid / bisexual men certainly feel more open to act on it.
Bisexuality has always been a sign of decadence. That’s why there’s a long history of it in Hollywood. And like Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, his character was inspired by that concept that’s always been there but is never really discussed.

R112 Yes, that’s the photoshoot! I absolutely love it. The entire pictorial is gorgeous.

As a photographer like I said the lighting setups are incredible.
Jezebel did this anti-Playboy article exposing the retouching notes and showed the original photos before they were retouched. And because the lighting was so perfect, they really didn’t have to retouch much compared to what you see in regular portrait shoots.
I mean just look at Gaga and Madonna’s non-retouched photos. Then look at a Playboy non-retouched photo and you tell me who the best photographers are.
Photographers like Stephen Wayda and Arny Freytag are light years beyond fashion photographers like Steven Klein and Mert and Marcus.
The worst Playboy shoot I’ve seen was Joanie Laurer (Chyna) and I don’t blame them she was just ugly.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | January 31, 2022 4:46 AM |
r110/r115 they did the best they could, lol. i think showing the photos adds to your stories, even if it's tits and puss, which DL is allergic to.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | January 31, 2022 5:02 AM |
The notes on what was to be airbrushed out didn't make him look very good. He literally wanted every flaw, line or crease on the face or body removed.
By the 2000s, the airbrushing and photoshop got extremely bad. Chyna's layouts were bad, but Belinda Carlisle's (literally all looked like oil pantings), Carnie Wilson's, and Lindsay Lohan's were widely mocked. Tia Carrera and Kristy Swanson's were pretty bad too.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | January 31, 2022 5:05 AM |
Actually, Kristy Swanson's was very good. You're 100% right about the Belinda Carlisle layout. It was one of the most disappointing ones Playboy ever did. I really liked Belinda Carlisle and was looking forward to it.

R117 I mean in todays world, most fashion and commercial photography is done on Photoshop. Even the biggest photographers today do the bare minimum because it’ll all be cleaned up and fixed in editing. It’s to the point where the original images are horrible.
Like the Gaga Versace shoot for example. The photography did next to nothing. He just clicked the photos and it was done.
All of the lighting and shadows and hair and makeup was done in the editing - on top of shrinking the body and head.
I mean look at the unretouched Playboy photos they’re not as bad as this.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | January 31, 2022 6:44 AM |
R118 I just looked it up. It’s horrible and it was exactly what I had expected.
The photographer was a fashion / music photographer. His name is Richard McLaren. I’ll bet it was at the request of Belinda because she probably didn’t want to work with an in house Playboy photographer.
That’s why they look like shit!
I’ll bet everyone you guys mentioned didn’t use in house Playboy photographers.
Chyna did but Chynas simply ugly lol.

I think Playboy went downhill visually when they went digital and just embraced new technology. They were using an 8x10 camera all the way into the 2000’s.
They had to keep up with the times. The luxurious scenic bedrooms turned into simple or plain backdrops. The lighting style became more Rolling Stone and less old school Hollywood.
Lohan’s Playboy shoot was definitely at her request. I think the biggest problem is Lohan isn’t sexy. She was pretty but never sexy.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | January 31, 2022 7:05 AM |
Lohan looked kinda soft and flabby in her pictorial. If I had a nude shoot coming up I'd be working out religiously leading up to it.

R124, Married women going after BBC in that time period? Just wasn't done among middle-class WASP mothers. Bet it screwed up HH.

r129 No indications of that. He was of Germanic and Northern European and European ethnicity, allegedly related to the Bushes. Protestant background.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | February 1, 2022 12:22 AM |
He was a Methodist and of Swedish, English and German descent. Typical White American from the Midwest. I would not say he was WASP though. That's more of a Northeast thing. Most white Midwesterners and Southerners come from the working-class roots.

^Bingo! Very unoriginal.
by Anonymous | reply 133 | February 1, 2022 3:17 AM |
The women were all beards and whores. Even the joyless clinical hetro sex was bearding. Hef only liked breaking down boundaries and breaking people so he got tired of sex with willing women (whores) and wanted sex with animals, children, and men---anything he would have have to hide as taboo.
by Anonymous | reply 134 | February 1, 2022 3:47 AM |
r106 Speaking of which, I wonder if Hef ever hooked up with Leo, who used to spend a lot of time at the Playboy Mansion during his Pussy Posse days. Hmmm....
by Anonymous | reply 135 | February 1, 2022 11:10 AM |
Hefner was worldly and sophisticated. I could see that appealing to young Leonardo. Given Leo was linked to Lukas Haas and Tobey Maguire. I don't think he cares all about looks.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | February 1, 2022 3:14 PM |
R131- I think you're wrong. I read an article where Hugh Hefner said he was descending from the Mayflower people.

[quote]Hugh Hefner Played with Boys
Duh. That's why I called it Playboy.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | February 1, 2022 4:28 PM |
Hefner was a notorious heterosexual. On the Kinsey scale he'd be way up there with a tiny bi edge during orgies. He was a massive pussyhound. It's well documented. What gay man has sex with thousands of women? Christ, most of you posters are idiots. And OP's headline is misleading to say the least.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | February 1, 2022 7:25 PM |
Hefner, himself, said that he was bisexual. It came from his own mouth (no pun intended).
by Anonymous | reply 143 | February 1, 2022 7:56 PM |
@r142, Sounds like you're afraid that the whole foundation of heterosexual manhood is being threatened. Relax, dear, you're still allowed to fuck whoever you please
by Anonymous | reply 144 | February 1, 2022 8:08 PM |
R143 For the last time, he wrote in his biography he experimented during orgies around the 1960’s. He never said “I am bisexual”. If I’m wrong, please post a link to the quote.
by Anonymous | reply 145 | February 2, 2022 12:05 AM |
R142 is all over DL posting shit like this. No body's gay or bi according to her.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | February 2, 2022 1:18 AM |
Yes, I played with boys and was into the homosex. I faked all those orgasms with thousands and thousands of women and built an empire around hawt women just so I could get some boys. Lots and lots of boys. All the boys I could ever have. Barbi Benton was actually BART Benton. He was a dude and we had the homosex. And after a lifetime of the lady sex and the boys, I realized I was attracted to platypuses. You have never had sex like the sex you have with platypuses. Why do you think they call them platypussies! I would call Jack Hanna and Steve Irwin and we would have orgies with platypuses. It's a shame Steve died after having sex with that stingray. He was always shouting "Sting me with your stinger, stingray!" Like, ALL THE TIME. Oh well, he died doing what he loved. Sex with stingrays.
by Anonymous | reply 147 | February 2, 2022 5:46 PM |
Bisexuality isn't real her apparently.
by Anonymous | reply 148 | February 2, 2022 5:53 PM |
Hef was a pussyhound, but he liked some homosex on the side.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | February 2, 2022 5:55 PM |
A hole is a hole. Like most rich men Hef wasn't scared to have homosex because he wanted fo experience all the world's pleasures. So many straight men deny their physical joys by not playing with their own holes or getting blowjobs from another male.

Live-in playmates said that HH always had gay porn, and only GAY porn, running on a continuous reel during his sex sessions with his multiple girlfriends. Wearing matching pink pj's, they acted like cheerleaders calling out "Fxck her Daddy."
Female guests who refused to frequent the grotto, where anything goes orgies took place, were barred from return visits to mansion parties. Likely they were being filmed.
Some have said that there were a lot of parallels between HH and Jeffrey Epstein although the former had much more charm and surface good manners.
Conversations between HH and the playmates always sounded like how a kindly grandfather would talk to his very young grandchild whom he barely knew. Did he think choosing young women with limited intelligence and generally little education made them much more pliable?
After the playmates were pressured into getting ever larger boob jobs, and ended up in the hospital when they ruptured (par for the course re early surgeries), HH immediately broke off contact. His gay security detail were responsible for getting the girls and their possessions out of the mansion. HH really regarded the playmates as live plastic dolls.

r136 Hef was just the type of dirty daddy Leo would have liked.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | February 2, 2022 9:45 PM |
Al Parker began at the Playboy mansion where he was a personal assistant to Hefner. He was "discovered" and went into porn. So yeah, I'd say he and Parker played.

Hef should have funded a gay version of Playboy with hot twinks and jocks. Make gay sex more mainstream in the 60s and 70s, convince people it's classy.
by Anonymous | reply 154 | February 3, 2022 3:58 AM |
I just read somewhere that Playboy magazine was originally conceived by Hef to promote the male BISEXUAL lifestyle, but the concept was abandoned as it was too daring for the day.
