These animals should not be kept as pets, and don’t say that Golden Retrievers are the same!
Can We Stop Making Excuses for Pit-Bulls?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | February 11, 2022 11:41 AM |
It's because of these fucking assholes that train their dogs to attack. You can't have an attack dog that behaves the way they want every time....they will inevitably revert back to their training.

Oh yay, yet another 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 nellie prisspot 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 to flap her caftan about this.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 26, 2022 1:58 PM |
I don't dislike pibbles but I will never trust them. They should all be sterilized and the breed made extinct. I don't mean they should be abused or hunted but they are bred to be fighters and are unpredictably vicious. Poor fuckers.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 26, 2022 2:00 PM |
R1 No, it is not. In almost every pittbull attack, the owners say that “the dog was always sweet and not aggressive”. This delusional idea that there is some large scale secret underground of people abusing pitbulls and that only these pittbulls attack is something low IQ dog owners tell themselves.
The only safe pitbull is a dead one. We don’t need to put them all down but we definitely need to spade and nueter them all.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 26, 2022 2:03 PM |
The secret is to call them "pitties" instead of "pit-bulls."
That way, the lethal maulings are so much more adorable.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 26, 2022 2:05 PM |
I don’t watch that popular YouTube channel anymore because of their obsession with pitbulls. The Dodo?

There are some sweet Pitbulls, but they are too much of a risk
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 26, 2022 2:12 PM |
Can we stop making excuses for pets trumped up as service animals?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 26, 2022 2:19 PM |
It would be a huge liability to spade and neuter them on the argument to get rid of the breed. In the years from that action to the race is extinct, there will be attacks. During years the breed has been officially acknowledged as dangerous to public safety.
Put them all down now.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 26, 2022 2:23 PM |
Pitbulls are strong that is their issue. If they are pissed, look out. Otherwise, they can be just as sweet as any other dog. My Amazon parrot used to ride aound perched on top of our dog. There was never a problem. The pit played with deer around our house.
I have been bitten by friendly young German Shepard dogs in the neighborhood and there was no long term issue. Chihuahuas are all hot air.
However, if a Pit wants to remove your arm, no problem. That is the issue.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 26, 2022 2:25 PM |
Eliminating them would solve 90% of the homeless pet issue in Los Angeles!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 26, 2022 2:27 PM |
It really IS the owner.
Too many people either train pitbulls to be aggressive, or do the "my dog is like any other dog" hands off attitude and let pits roam leash free.
And you can't. They're big, powerful dogs, and they can be lovely, but they need to be on leash and disciplined/trained.
[quote] Eliminating them would solve 90% of the homeless pet issue in Los Angeles!
They are one of the most bred dogs, but horrible people breed them to fight and toss out the ones they don't want.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 26, 2022 2:28 PM |
Well that is a big part of the the problem isn’t it? There are so many of them unwanted that shelters can’t be too picky about who they give them to. So the dogs that need the most careful training and oversight are given to anyone who will take one.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 26, 2022 2:32 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 26, 2022 2:35 PM |
R16 yeah and why are we overflowing with them at shelters? Do they have large litters?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 26, 2022 2:39 PM |
R16, in my experience it’s tattooed SJWs with anger issues.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 26, 2022 2:39 PM |
Pitbulls are fine until they start drinking. They are mean drunks.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 26, 2022 2:42 PM |
Totally agree on the pitbull but , on a separate issue, I appreciate R9's comment. All pets are not service animals just because someone buys them a vest. A service animal is narrowly defined in law and has cerein rights not given to all pets.

Pits became a status symbol for a lot of poor people and criminals who thought it was a good idea to make them fight each other. Pits are loyal and if an owner teaches them to fight, many of them will.
These trash humans then make money on the fights, as well as breeding them and selling the puppies.
SJW's are hardly a blip on the screen in this issue.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 26, 2022 2:47 PM |
How can they be status symbols if there are so many?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 26, 2022 2:49 PM |
Aggressive strong dogs are considered a menace and dangerous.
Aggressive weak dogs are considered "ankle biters" and harmless.
I remember showing up at my date's home for a first date with her. Her mom answered the door with her tiny Chihuahua snuggled close to her chest. After we initially greeted each other, I reached out cautiously with a a bent pointer finger to greet the dog. The dog bite down on the middle knuckle drawing blood. The woman laughed it off as a cute thing she does. It's only because the dog was maybe 5 pounds, that I didn't need hospitalization.
I find Pitt Bull owners, for the most part, have this air of strength and toughness simply owning a Pitt Bull. They're in control of a dangerous animal so this equates to them being fearsome. Truth be told, they probably just have small dicks.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 26, 2022 3:04 PM |
Tigers are cute and sweet too if they are trained right. But if anything goes wrong, people get serious injured.
Pitts might be sweet 99% of the time, but it is the 1% that matters.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 26, 2022 3:05 PM |
I hate little dogs, they're far more consistently badly socialized. Pomeranians are snarling, barking bags of bones.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 26, 2022 3:07 PM |
Pitbulls shouldn't be bred anymore. They should go extinct. But I wouldn't kill them.
WTF is the little dog's human's problem? Keep your dog safe. That's a basic thing. Jesus.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 26, 2022 3:14 PM |
Ask dog lover Judge Judy about pit bulls. She doesn’t like them, especially when they’re in the house with small children. She always say no matter how well trained they are, all kids have to do is look at them the wrong way and they can become very dangerous. I don’t like them at all. Plus, they’re an ugly breed.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 26, 2022 3:16 PM |
A lot of people pretend to care about pitbulls becauze narcissm. Being pro pitbull takes no effort. Try to get the same people to care and do something about child labor, genocide, or child trafficking. Pitbulls are dangerous, and if people want them banned from certain public spaces, apartments, houses, etc, they should have the right. Don't bring your pitbull to a dog park where the biggest dog is a cocker spaniel

[quote]It's because of these fucking assholes that train their dogs to attack.
Do you think every pit bull that's ever attacked, maimed, and killed another dog or a person was specifically trained to do so? Do you think 200 years of selective breeding for strength, volatility, and aggression, has no bearing on the breed? You're a fucking moron.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 26, 2022 3:17 PM |
R26 Little dogs may be worse trained and may snip more but they also do less damage. It doesn’t matter how vicious a lap dog is.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 26, 2022 3:38 PM |
Pretty much any mammal can be trained as their brains are fairly large for animals. But we don't let people keep Lions and Tigers as pet's no matter how gentle they are because of the potential danger.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 26, 2022 3:50 PM |
I think they are charming dogs but so what. They are dangerous and often owned weak or sociopathic assholes.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 26, 2022 5:20 PM |
Our token douchey relative who'd gotten a pit bull to be provocative (and gave it a tough guy name like Capone) used to make the "small dogs bite more" argument. But as R31 said there can be a world of difference in the damage inflicted by tiny lightweight dogs versus bigger, stronger ones.
My wife works at a children's hospital and most of the grisliest attacks she's seen involved pit bulls. Yet a golden retriever was responsible for one of the worst facial bites she encountered. The dog had dementia and was known to dislike this toddler but they ended up alone in a room together anyway. People tend not to appreciate the dangers posed by a dog in cognitive decline.
Based on her work experience, we don't leave our dog alone with children, even though she's gentle and loves kids. It's more about policing the kids than the dog.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 26, 2022 5:38 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 26, 2022 5:46 PM |
The guy down the street from us has a Presa Carario. As we walk by my cavalier will ignore his vicious barking and running back and forth behind the fence, stop and leisurely pee in front of him. Mind you my dog will lay on his back for a Havanese he’s so beta. I find it hilarious.

The nursemaid dog in Peter Pan is Nana, usually portrayed as a Newfoundland or St. Bernard.
It might be useful to point out that these days many if not most homeowners' insurance policies exclude coverage for damages/injuries caused by certain breeds of dogs and pitbulls and rottweilers lead the lists.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 26, 2022 11:06 PM |
Nana is undoubtedly supposed to be a Newfoundland. J.M. Barrie owned one.

A lot of pit bulls are perfect pets. The owners are the reason some get ruined, just as with numerous other breeds.
I've had two pit bulls, and they NEVER got aggressive, even in a home full of kids, other dogs, and cats.
Never once was anyone bitten or even threatened, within our household or outside of it.
Meanwhile, our neighbor's Schnauzers ripped up a kid and had to be put down.

That’s not true. Some of the greatest owners had their pit bulls turn on them. One bit off a model’s lips. One attacked a dog while walking.

And not one thing you said disproved what R57 said. He clearly didn't say ALL pit-bulls make perfect pets. There is no breed of dog that is 100% safe across the board. More people are bitten each year by chihuahuas than pit-bulls.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 11, 2022 11:30 AM |
“More people are bitten each year by chihuahuas than pit-bulls.”
That is such an idiotic statement and neither here nor there. Pitbull ownership is about 5% yet pits cause more than 60% of dog attack fatalities.
