Given the sexual dimorphism in this species - the males are twice the size of the females - its amazing she's hung on as long as she has. She must be one tough hard as nails bitch.
My pick is that the male she was interested in, Luffy, is going to take over, he's already high ranking and she apparently fears him.

Are these the monkeys that hang out in the hot springs during winter? I saw an old episode of Family Guy where Peter goes and bathes with them and even that was soothing.
Or are these the monkeys that go up into the mountains and pick the just right newly sprouted tea leaves that they make the most expensive tea in the world out of?

The Japanese monkeys are fucking vicious. There was a monkey mountain near my apartment in Japan and the monkeys would snatch McDonalds from people and sit in the middle of the street like they owned the place.
