Garrett Hedlund Arrested for Public Intoxication

Garrett Hedlund is under arrest.

The 37-year-old Friday Night Lights actor is in custody after being arrested for public intoxication, via TMZ on Sunday (January 23).

The news comes just hours after it was reported that Garrett and Emma Roberts split after three years of dating a few weeks ago.

The arrest occurred in Franklin County in Tennessee on Saturday night (January 22), and bond is set at $2,100 for misdemeanor arrest. Bond has not yet been posted.

Garrett is also being sued for allegedly driving drunk back in January of 2020, when he was arrested for DUI and pled no contest to a DUI charge, getting placed on three years probation.

Due to his probation, this new arrest may prove to provide additional legal problems for the actor.

He's not exactly the greatest actor in the world, but it's shame to see someone circle the drain like this. He probably has PTSD after living with that awful Robert creature.

He was so drunk that he could barely walk, and did not respond to officers questions, however, he supposedly, got rid of all the empty bottles in his car before police came, so it is conflicting. If he was so drunk and his thinking was impaired, how did he think to get rid of the bottles? Now the family is suing him. He and Emma had been separated for a while now, but when the news came out about the lawsuit, she decided to leak the break up story, it wouldn’t look bad on her. She wanted everyone to know that she was not associated with him, an alcoholic although when she first met him, she was well aware that he was an alcoholic, and had a baby with him. I believe that his PR team had him release his new single when they did so that it would distract from his legal issues, but it didn’t work. It just got to be too much for him and he drank. He either relapsed or was never sober, who knows. He violated his probation and is now facing jail time.

I’m not saying that Emma is to blame for his behavior, but his drinking problem did get a lot worse once he met her. I’m sure she is not an easy person to be with. She has anger issues and who knows if she didn’t physically abuse him like she did Evan, but it was not made public. She could also have emotionally/psychologically abused him as well.
