Does anyone watch The Chase on ABC

Either that can't find really smart people or it's the toughest game show on TV. Thoughts?

I do watch. The questions tend to be much, much tougher than Jeopardy. On average. At least for me.

I think they need to change up the formula a bit. I'd make it so that the contestants get guaranteed money for making it to final chase.

It's hard enough to get there, but then the do, only to watch the chaser win. Like, what's the point? All that work for no money? And it's not like the contestants can do anything to stop the chaser. At that point it's him against the clock.

Still, I like the show.

I thought it was called The Paper Chase?

Huh. I’m a Jeopardy! alumnus and have been thinking about trying out for “The Chase”, but it seems kind of tacky.

It's no more tacky than any other game show, but your odds of winning are nearly impossible.

So the ‘normal’ contestants are basically sacrificial lambs. Pass.

A friend of mine tried out for it. He's pretty intelligent and does well at quiz nights and he didn't even get past the preliminary (non-TV) round.
