When did she die?

by Anonymousreply 1January 18, 2022 11:29 PM

Very Norma Desmond.

I like it. Sadly, it is out of my price range.

by Anonymousreply 4January 18, 2022 11:32 PM

Wow, that’s a pretty lavish place considering what seems to me as a pretty minimal career.

by Anonymousreply 5January 18, 2022 11:34 PM

How the fuck could she afford a place like that?

by Anonymousreply 6January 18, 2022 11:35 PM

She married well. "Howard Ruby is the Founder and Chairman of Oakwood Worldwide, the largest global provider of temporary furnished apartments with locations available around the world".

by Anonymousreply 7January 18, 2022 11:36 PM

That is spectacular and gorgeous but just seems way too big. It’s almost like the tasteful counterpart that Graceland aspires to be.

by Anonymousreply 8January 18, 2022 11:36 PM

It's lovely and livable!

Temporary furnished apartments, huh? I guess it pays to be a slumlord.

by Anonymousreply 9January 18, 2022 11:39 PM

That is stunning, near perfect. And WAY out of my price range, never mind the taxes. Not sure I'm keen on all the green marble or whatever it is on that patio, but otherwise I dont think I'd change anything

by Anonymousreply 10January 18, 2022 11:44 PM

Pretentious.

by Anonymousreply 11January 18, 2022 11:46 PM

HOLY SHIT! I'm gagging on the grandness and glamour of it all! Who knew? I haven't heard her name in years.

by Anonymousreply 12January 18, 2022 11:48 PM

Its not even old and dusty. It all looks regularly refreshed? How did she maintain a fortune?

Excuse me but is this HER house recently. Or formerly, from years ago, and since inhabited by someone with big money?

by Anonymousreply 13January 18, 2022 11:50 PM

Gorgeous. True luxury.

by Anonymousreply 14January 18, 2022 11:52 PM

According to the internet, that is their home, and her husband has a net worth of $200 million.

by Anonymousreply 15January 18, 2022 11:52 PM

DEAD DEAD DEAD

by Anonymousreply 16January 18, 2022 11:55 PM

I see! It's very Eastern French Riviera / Northern Italian Riviera.

by Anonymousreply 17January 18, 2022 11:56 PM

Word has it she bullied Richard Chamberlain for being queer on the set of that shitty movie they made.

by Anonymousreply 18January 18, 2022 11:57 PM

Except these two rooms look vaguely inspired by Ophüls production design

That place is huge. A Renaissance palazzo.

How many staff are required for upkeep?

by Anonymousreply 21January 19, 2022 12:01 AM

that driveway is sick, too glamorous

by Anonymousreply 22January 19, 2022 12:02 AM

I've seen more glamorous.

by Anonymousreply 23January 19, 2022 12:05 AM

I love that driveway, and it IS glamorous. I stumbled upon the house awhile ago, and saved it to my favorites I liked it so much.(I can dream can't I?) When I saw that she died, I remembered the listing and here we are.

by Anonymousreply 24January 19, 2022 12:31 AM

I don't know that it's my taste, but it is certainly extraordinary - a look at the age of silent era glamour.

The gardens are wonderful.

[quote]When did she die? Today.

Wow, they're not exactly letting her body get cold are they?
