"The good news ... Louie's rep, Glenn Schwartz, says the comedian is resting comfortably in his hospital bed."
I doubt Louie has rested comfortably in years, with or without cancer.

by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 18, 2022 7:26 PM |
Aww, I love Christine Baskets, and his stint as the lawyer on Search Party.
The lawyer actually said, “Say something nice at my funeral.” And “I probably won’t be alive next year.” on a few occasions.
I’m guessing Louie shared the end was night to the creators.
😞

I'll never forget- one night back in the '80s he was hosting Friday Night Videos with a female comedian, who was dressing up as an imitating various celebrities. Maybe it was Judy Tenuta or the white Julie Brown.
Anyway, they came back from commercial, and she was dressed as Cher Bono. Louie had just released his autobiography, which was very sad. But since she was dressed in character, she really had to choice but go with it. Louie goes "I'm an adult child of an alcoholic." And, Judy, doing Cher, goes "Woah, babe. Wooo"

Another of my happiest childhood memories is gone.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 23, 2022 10:59 PM |
Years ago I was in a mostly empty café in West Hollywood, dining solo. In came Louie, by himself. The waiter queens all said, "Hello, Louie" (he clearly was a regular). I was fine dining by myself but he seemed rather sad.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 23, 2022 11:33 PM |
I loved Life With Louie his kid's cartoon. I was 20 years old and loved to watch it when I came home from the bars. It was really deep for a kid's show. Louie had a good heart

[R56] hold on to those memories and visit them often. Be happy and grateful for the love and humor Louie shared with the world. I’m glad he was here.
