I'm baffled by this whole thing. Why are they just NOW discussing the impact it could have on planes?

I did that once, when I didn't turn my cell phone off during landing.

I agree with this. Don't USE IT, like I did

I knew a girl who didn’t put her phone on airplane mode during takeoff, and then she died.

Passengers are told not to use electronic devices during the flight. What the hell were the two Northwest pilots doing using their laptops in the cockpit during the cruise phase of a flight? They were going over bids for routes. They became distracted and the aircraft flew many miles beyond the point where it was supposed to begin descending to its destination.

I find it amazing that the FCC couldn't coordinate with the FAA during the many years of development. It's truly baffling and head smacking.

We're staying in room 5G at the Fresno Motel 6. Are we in danger??

R13, the FCC has been run by Trump appointees doing AT&T and Verizon's bidding, and the FAA is run by dunces who have no actual transportation experience or technical expertise. As an airline pilot put it, it's true "management by crisis."
