I remember the first time I was ever in a communal shower.

I was about 12 too, but my mother said she had just turned 9 yrs old when she hit puberty! That was in the late 1940s, I can't even imagine that young. She weighed 15 lbs at birth and I always wonder if that had something to do with it.

OP- I started going thru puberty at 10 years old. One month after I turned 14 years old I had to shave EVERY day like an adult and I started getting hair on my chest and stomach around the same time- I HATED it.
