I have a good story that alludes to his sadness. I know someone in Toronto who is a nerdy fan or movie actors. Jake visited Toronto in the summer of 2012 or 2013 during summer for some type of event. Each of the three days he wore the same green cargo pants and black Tshirt. Three of us were looking at the pictures to see how he looked. His clothing looked really dirty and he looked awful with greasy hair etc. over the three days. One of the ladies with us looking at the photos said that her intuition said he looked depressed and something was off, with him wearing the same dirty clothing over those three days, and his body language (Especially when your publicist/stylist can get you free Tom Ford clothing etc.). We all thought there was deep sadness to him. The pictures stood out because they were so unexpected.
