The house is fantastic - a paint job would work wonders.

Something must be wrong with it because it has been on the market 300 days.

I'll take it ! But redo the wall treatments especially the horrid yellow in the kitchen , being in the kitchen for hours with that color would make my anger boil.

The house has potential - probably a lot of deferred maintenance and repairs

A lot of the interior is over-the top...so cluttered and distracting

But like R3 said, the poors are right across the street, with no hedge or wall to keep them out. They'd be watching every move you made, and would probably hate you just because. Great house, wrong place.

Amsterdam is a depressing city. Very. I think you’re about eighty years too late.

Not far from Saratoga Springs, and even River Street Club, a small gay bath in nearby Troy, NY.

And, near good education at SUNY Albany, Union College, Skidmore College and RPI.

Very stately, looks like a family has lived there for generations. Love the Remingtons. I like the mostly masculine decor as well

I grew up in the Capital District. We looked down on Amsterdam. It was once known for carpet factories but certainly by the time I was born, it was a depressed, shrinking city.

I don't think I've been there though, to be honest.

It's nice on the outside. Though, inside it is disjointed and ugly. Don't people have access to pictures who are decorating. And why not take pictutes with the fire lit in the fireplaces? That seems stupid. Do they not work? I really like the outside.

It's likely sat on the market for so long R9 because there just aren't a whole lot of people who'd want to drop $1MM on a house in Amsterdam, NY
