Terrible way to die, even more so for the train driver and bystanders. I’ve lived near a Metra stop near Chicago for 2 1/2 years and at least 5-6 people have killed themselves that way there. When the news helicopters start circling, I know it probably happened again.

Speaking of Chicago's METRA, in May 2010 their CEO also committed suicide by jumping in front of a train.
