Loved her on Dallas. She brought such grounding to the show and was really needed to offset the over-the-top characters.

You can get a little taste of Bel Geddes as Maggie here, OP. I don't know how much of the play she and Ben Gazzara did for this tv show (probably just this one scene), but it's here after Gazzara speaks about it.

I watched this movie because I adore James Mason and admire Max Ophuls.

The woman should have provided the dramatic heart of the story but she didn't. She was lame.
