Those were two great movies! "Betty Blue' featured the frequently nude Jean Hugues-Anglade, who went on to be frequently nude in other films, but maybe not as nude in one film as in "Betty Blue" (and yes, he was a sight to behold).

He will be fondly remembered for the opening scene of *Betty Blue* (after which the movie should have ended instead of dragging on for hours).

I love Diva, must have seen it at least five times when it was first released. Quel dommage.

"Diva" had action, motorcycle chic racing scenes, and opera. Fun film, nothing else quite like it. Maybe the opera sequence in "Foul Play", but not the whole film like "Diva". Conductor guy I dated didn't really care for Ms. Wiggins as a singer though when in the opera house.

Haven't seen "Diva" in 40 years, but sure loved it back then.

Fun fact: Beineix was a big Jerry Lewis fan when he was a kid, and eventually worked as an assistant director on "The Day the Clown Cried".

He got cast in other films, where he had scenes with his clothes on, though he's still doing nude scenes even fairly recently. But he kept in good shape. Then again, Gerard Depardieu kept doing nude scenes when he really wasn't in any way fit.

You don't have to be nude to be a satisfactory thespian.

I liked the soundtrack for "Betty Blue" much more than Gabriel Yared's later scores.

Diva is a fantastic film. I only recently saw Betty Blue and it was great but on a different level. Anglade was considered the French Robert DeNiro for awhile. I remember his buttfucking scene in Killing Zoe but haven't seen him in much of anything since.

DIVA is an excellent film! Love everything about it. Stylish, suspense, soundtrack, overall quirkiness. Great atmosphere. I’ve watched it many, many times and always get a kick out of it.

I will be grieving for him by rewatching the extended version of Betty Blue tonight.

PS. Jean-Hugues also presented his massive, intact dong in a movie just recently streamed on Amazon, L'Homme Blesse.
