It just went live and is overloaded so just keep refreshing if it says it's too busy. It is legit, the Vermont health site has information on it, yours may also

I live in FloriDUH and just checked this out (thank you for the link, rescue-chick). Not surprisingly, no tests available in MY area, the state that let COVID tests expire.

by Anonymousreply 1January 12, 2022 3:20 PM

none are available in my area

by Anonymousreply 2January 12, 2022 3:23 PM

I would keep checking because they may be add your area

by Anonymousreply 3January 12, 2022 5:24 PM

I will keep checking but Death Santis would rather all of the populace die than do anything. We are overrun with snowbirds and everyone else who came last year and stayed. Sarasota has become a nightmare.

by Anonymousreply 4January 12, 2022 7:25 PM

I am sorry! It sucks that this is so political šŸ˜•

by Anonymousreply 5January 12, 2022 7:39 PM

florida is a mess

by Anonymousreply 6January 12, 2022 7:43 PM

Yes it is.

by Anonymousreply 7January 12, 2022 8:24 PM

In the UK we can order one free box of lateral flow tests per day to be delivered to our home.

by Anonymousreply 8January 12, 2022 8:59 PM

Ah yes-- a civilized country unlike the state of Florida!

by Anonymousreply 9January 12, 2022 9:03 PM

also, starting January 15,if you have insurance your insurance is required to pay for up to 8 home covid tests per month. if you are charged by the retailer (either in store or online) save your receipt and submit to your insurer for reimbursement

ā€¦per person, rescue.

So if there are two people in the house, itā€™s 16. Three, itā€™s 24 and so on.

I guess thatā€™s fine if youā€™re a woman. But then you have to run the drug store anyway to change the type of pad you get.

by Anonymousreply 12January 12, 2022 9:52 PM

thank you rescue-chick!

by Anonymousreply 13January 12, 2022 9:56 PM

Especially the lazy ones like me.

by Anonymousreply 21January 15, 2022 12:43 AM

So dumb.

A waste of money.

And if you test positive, what will happen?

by Anonymousreply 22January 15, 2022 12:43 AM

I don't know r22, I have never had a test and as far as I know, I haven't had covid. but, people are spending money on the tests and I like most of you so, I share.

youstolemygoddamnhouse, you are welcome! I ā¤ļø you too!

Thank you rescue-chick! I just ordered mine.

by Anonymousreply 28January 19, 2022 10:30 AM

Yeah as much as I criticise this country, it's good that we have had easy 'free' access to at home lateral flow tests for many months at this point. It's great that the US is catching up.

I am still working from home but people who go into the office are encouraged to test themselves several times a week to make sure they are not spreading COVID. I also tend to test before meeting up with family or having people stay over, though having recently had COVID I'm probably immune for a while now.

by Anonymousreply 29January 19, 2022 10:43 AM

R22 can you explain why you think this is a waste of money? Surely it's much better for people to be testing themselves frequently at home than having tests administered by healthcare professionals who could be doing more useful things? Surely it's much better people test themselves and isolate if needed than roaming around spreading COVID everywhere? Work it out, what is better financially? Funding for tests which reduce the spread of COVID, reduce the risk of infecting vulnerable people who then need medical care, reduce the need for staff to conduct tests that are easy to do at home, just makes financial sense. If you can't work that out, you must be pretty thick.

by Anonymousreply 30January 19, 2022 10:46 AM

UKGuy, don't feed the trolls

by Anonymousreply 32January 20, 2022 3:50 AM

by Anonymousreply 33January 20, 2022 2:06 PM

JUST received mine yesterday. Two weeks late

by Anonymousreply 34February 12, 2022 1:21 AM

it took 2 weeks but I have the tests. Relieved to have them.

by Anonymousreply 35February 12, 2022 1:24 AM

I ordered mine the first day you could order them and haven't received a thing.

You would think the democrats would do everything they can to fire Louis Dejoy and get to work fixing the Post Office and all the damage caused by dejoy. But you would be wrong. They're not concerned about anything

by Anonymousreply 36February 12, 2022 1:34 AM

DeJoy ain't getting fired by either party.

Same here R36 and the way my local post office is run, I donā€™t expect to receive them.

I wouldnā€™t be surprised if they were sold off already.

by Anonymousreply 38February 12, 2022 1:53 AM

R38 here. Eating my words as they delivered today.

by Anonymousreply 39February 18, 2022 8:00 PM

I ordered the first day, and they just came this Monday, Feb 14. You will get an email on the day they are to be delivered, I received two emails one saying they would be delivered Monday and one saying they would be delivered Thursday, but they did indeed come on Monday. I am hoping I never need them.

by Anonymousreply 40February 18, 2022 8:57 PM

Even though i got the booster on Tuesday, i just tried ordering tests and it said that tests weren't currently available in my area, contact local health department.

by Anonymousreply 41February 18, 2022 9:03 PM

I got mine today.

by Anonymousreply 42February 18, 2022 9:04 PM

R49, They already said on the news that people do not quarantine if positive or only isolate a couple days, so it is useless. Get the vax and fucking move on.

by Anonymousreply 43February 18, 2022 11:37 PM

R49?

by Anonymousreply 44February 19, 2022 10:55 AM

I ordered the first day and still haven't gotten mine.

This is fucked up. And they're still insisting on the mandates. fools

by Anonymousreply 45February 19, 2022 10:59 AM

[quote] I ordered the first day and still haven't gotten mine.

You know now that you didnā€™t have covid then, so does it matter?

by Anonymousreply 46February 19, 2022 11:28 AM

I got my free at home covid test and picked up some free n95 masks. Yay!!
