Euphoria Season 2

Episode 1 featured a number of penises - by my reckoning 2 real, and 1 stunt (erect). Also some lovely breasts by actress Sydney Sweeney. Graphic violence, and interesting soundtrack selections.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

by Anonymousreply 77February 8, 2022 4:11 AM

I’m officially done wallowing in the mud with these depraved morons.

by Anonymousreply 1January 11, 2022 12:26 AM

R1 I have nothing better to do.

by Anonymousreply 2January 11, 2022 12:28 AM

Do I need to watch those two extra episodes to know what’s happening in the premiere?

by Anonymousreply 3January 11, 2022 12:54 AM

It’s gotten me back into Harry Nilsson.

by Anonymousreply 4January 11, 2022 12:57 AM

It's an auspicious start. Love the bathroom scene with Sydney and her massive honkers.

by Anonymousreply 5January 11, 2022 1:10 AM

R3 Can't say, I attempted to watch Zendaya's character's before realizing it was going to be one long conversation. I may try again.

by Anonymousreply 6January 11, 2022 1:18 AM

I loved Season one, but I have a feeling the mood of the country (well, by country I mean me) will make season two feel under appreciated.

by Anonymousreply 7January 11, 2022 1:30 AM

R7 Escapist fare for me. So I'm hoping they really bring it.

by Anonymousreply 8January 11, 2022 1:35 AM

R3, I loved the two special episodes. Are they necessary? No idea. Are they excellent? Yes.

by Anonymousreply 9January 11, 2022 1:43 AM

I like this show. These people are so fucked up they make me feel normal.

by Anonymousreply 10January 11, 2022 1:49 AM

Anyone want to decipher that bizarre Nate/McKay scene? I took it as Nate’s typical possession/control focus broadening to include Cassie, and a power trip because he knew something McKay didn’t. But a lot of people are seeing it as straightforward sexual interest in McKay. What’s DL’s take?

by Anonymousreply 11January 11, 2022 3:11 AM

Nate wants McKay’s cum and wanted a visual to spank to later. Nate was getting so turned on by the thought of McKay cumming he couldn’t stop himself from getting close and closer and finally had to touch McKay even if only for second. Been there, done that.

by Anonymousreply 12January 11, 2022 3:16 AM

How old is this Sam Levinson writer/director guy? I picture him writing all this gross dialogue for teenagers, yuck.

by Anonymousreply 13January 11, 2022 3:16 AM

Consolidate into one discussion thread girls.

by Anonymousreply 14January 11, 2022 3:18 AM

I do not appreciate being misgendered.

by Anonymousreply 15January 11, 2022 3:19 AM

R13 He's 37. There are three other writes credited, one 45, one 54 and the actress Hunter who is 23. I always thought Levinson's father was a hack. He seems more talented. The bitchy girls dialog sounds believable to me.

by Anonymousreply 16January 11, 2022 6:54 AM

How much peen is seen this Season?

by Anonymousreply 17January 11, 2022 2:24 PM

R17 Don't know about the Season yet, but I think OP synopsized the first episode correctly. 2 real, 1 fake. It's the bathroom scene featuring a young guy with uncut low hanging junk that's been getting the most attention.

by Anonymousreply 18January 11, 2022 9:20 PM

I'm not convinced the second one was real.

by Anonymousreply 19January 12, 2022 1:51 AM

R19 you mean the bandaged nose? that looked real to me.

by Anonymousreply 20January 12, 2022 6:02 AM

Surprised more people aren't talking about this show here. So many swinging dicks this season!

Overall, I'm really enjoying the second season but I cannot fucking stand Cassie. She is so fucking whiny, spineless, and useless.

by Anonymousreply 21January 24, 2022 4:21 PM

This show is a Ephebophiliac’s delight. HBO should be fucking ashamed and embarrassed. But i guess because of all the “representation” it gets a pass in these psychotic times. Levinson is gross.

by Anonymousreply 22January 24, 2022 4:25 PM

I LOVE FEZCO! I was crushing on him last season, before he beat the fuck out of Nate. Angus McCloud is fucking hot!

DESPISE Nate. His character represents sooo many mentally fucked up young closeted men, white and non-white, our here. Fezco beating his ass was an instant top show moment.

The new guy, Elliott, is a total hottie and has great chemistry with Rue and Jules.

by Anonymousreply 23January 24, 2022 5:00 PM

People are talking about the show r21, you are just in the wrong thread.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 24January 24, 2022 5:26 PM

R24 That thread was good while it lasted. But it's now pay-walled (prematurely) for subscribers only.

Need a new alternative. Maybe someone there can link back to this.

by Anonymousreply 25January 25, 2022 4:14 AM

[quote] The new guy, Elliott, is a total hottie and has great chemistry with Rue and Jules.

however the Apple logo teardrop tattoo is lame.

by Anonymousreply 26January 25, 2022 8:49 AM

Who the hell has the job of making all those prosthetic dicks?

by Anonymousreply 27January 26, 2022 4:22 AM

It seems amateur.

by Anonymousreply 28January 26, 2022 4:24 AM

Such great music.

by Anonymousreply 29January 31, 2022 1:35 AM

Oh my god... that was DISGUSTING and gross.

by Anonymousreply 30January 31, 2022 1:42 AM

Nate's brother his hot as fuck. How come we haven't seen HIM naked?

Cassie is so fucked up. Nate nailed her... she is CRAZY. And a hypocrite. And fucked up.

Cal ... what a mess. Pissing all over the foyer. Gross.

by Anonymousreply 31January 31, 2022 2:34 AM

This episode was dreary except for crazy Cal. I’d give him an Emmy for the bar scene alone,

by Anonymousreply 32January 31, 2022 2:50 AM

Last season was stylized but it felt like it was there for a purpose and had meaning. This season just feels like excess for the sake of excess.

by Anonymousreply 33January 31, 2022 2:51 AM

Coming clean to Jules about Rue's sobriety isn't going to end well I fear.

by Anonymousreply 34January 31, 2022 3:04 AM

The dancing scene in the bar where Cal imagined he was dancing with his first love... that was amazing.

by Anonymousreply 35January 31, 2022 3:10 AM

This season is suffering because there is no cohesive plot.

by Anonymousreply 36January 31, 2022 3:19 AM

[quote] I always thought Levinson's father was a hack.

What didn't you like?

I loved Diner and Avalon in particular, Tin Men and Liberty Heights. Also, he executive produced Homicide: Life on the Street. Not too shabby in my estimation.

by Anonymousreply 37January 31, 2022 3:28 AM

Cal’s friend/lover reminds me a little of Matthew Lawrence. I hope we find out what happened to him.

by Anonymousreply 38January 31, 2022 3:58 AM

[quote] however the Apple logo teardrop tattoo is lame.

Why am I not surprised to learn it's the actor's actual tattoo.

by Anonymousreply 39January 31, 2022 4:27 AM

What was with all the artsy-fartsy stuff? The re-enactment of paintings and shit?

by Anonymousreply 40January 31, 2022 5:12 AM

Is this R40's first episode?

by Anonymousreply 41January 31, 2022 8:23 AM

So what do you think will happen next week? The promos seem to indicate Rue ODs, but I'm thinking she gets arrested. Supposedly, this is the *big* episode of this season

by Anonymousreply 42January 31, 2022 12:34 PM

If Rue gets busted by her mom/Jules overnight, they’re going to see the suitcase full of drugs out. That might be where the police come in. Is there some way the mom could call in the cops without Rue getting charged with possession, the way you could turn in a weapon?

This will play out with Fez either getting locked up for killing Mouse or killed by the drug distributor as revenge for bringing Rue into her life.

by Anonymousreply 43January 31, 2022 12:46 PM

To my surprise, my favorite character this season is Maddie. She’s so close to figuring out what’s going on with Cassie - I bet that will happen next episode.

by Anonymousreply 44January 31, 2022 12:47 PM

Rue gets away with so much inside her house. My mom used to wake up at the slightest whisper and had a sixth sense for anything shady going on within the walls. That suitcase wouldn’t have survived one day in our house.

by Anonymousreply 45January 31, 2022 12:49 PM

Haha r41.

Seriously though, did you watch season one r40? Arsty farsy directing choices have always been a calling card of this show.

by Anonymousreply 46January 31, 2022 3:20 PM

What was meant by “the baby momma is asking a bunch of questions”? Does this refer to the dealer that stupidly gave Rue the suitcase full of $10,00 in drugs?

by Anonymousreply 47January 31, 2022 4:41 PM

This show is gross. Adults who want to watch teens engaging in extreme behavior are embarrassing.

by Anonymousreply 48January 31, 2022 4:44 PM

[quote]This will play out with Fez either getting locked up for killing Mouse or killed by the drug distributor as revenge for bringing Rue into her life.

I think Fez (and maybe Ash too) end the season dead, if not for killing Mouse then for killing the rich guy he stole money from at the beginning of the season. I think that's why the character gets the puppy love romance with Lexi. I think that turns the others against Rue - her stupidity gets Fez killed.

Kind of agreed about the mom thing, but I also think the mother is just exhausted with Rue. She doesn't want to know what she's up to and that seems understandable. That's one thing I like about this show - the parents aren't as clueless or indifferent as typical sitcom parents. They're just baffled by their kids and not sure what to do about them.

by Anonymousreply 49January 31, 2022 4:50 PM

[quote]Seriously though, did you watch season one [R40]? Arsty farsy directing choices have always been a calling card of this show.

Artsy-fartsy direction is totally different from physically re-creating paints as live action and lingering on them for MINUTES for no apparent rhyme or reason...

by Anonymousreply 50January 31, 2022 5:14 PM

[quote]To my surprise, my favorite character this season is Maddie. She’s so close to figuring out what’s going on with Cassie - I bet that will happen next episode.

I knew plenty of "Maddies" in high school; they marry that jock they think is made of gold, only to end up immediately pushing out a couple of kids while former jock is still trying to trade off his golden boy reputation selling cars. Old Maddie ends up being the manager at Pizza Hut & a total bitch on wheels.

by Anonymousreply 51January 31, 2022 5:21 PM

The juxtaposition of Cal dancing in the bar and Cassie dancing alone while practically strangling herself with party balloons as they both sort of implode to the sound of Sinead O'Connor's 'Drink Before the War" was really well done.

by Anonymousreply 52January 31, 2022 5:29 PM

The season of plastic penises.

by Anonymousreply 53January 31, 2022 6:27 PM

They kind of explain the painting symbolism here

by Anonymousreply 54January 31, 2022 6:39 PM

The baby mama of the drug dealer that Ashtray murdered r47.

I'm glad that they killed someone isn't being completely swept under the rug.

by Anonymousreply 55January 31, 2022 10:27 PM

Fez is too damn popular right now to be killed off. I mean this is the character who did God’s work by beating Nate’s ass. If anyone dies, it’ll probably be Ashtray or new guy Elliott.

by Anonymousreply 56January 31, 2022 11:31 PM

Given her allegedly soured relationship with the show's creator, I could see them killing off the Kat character if one of the regular cast members had to die in the series in order to manufacture storyline drama.

by Anonymousreply 57February 1, 2022 6:21 PM

I never again need to see Jules with her bony ass in a thong.

by Anonymousreply 58February 1, 2022 7:31 PM

Rue’s drug use is getting tiresome. Maybe they’ll surprise us and kill off the main character.

by Anonymousreply 59February 1, 2022 9:19 PM

That's what they seem to be leading to - everyone is tired of Rue; I think something bad is going to happen, not to her but because of her that's such a hard smack in the face she can't blow it off

by Anonymousreply 60February 1, 2022 9:21 PM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 61February 1, 2022 9:22 PM

That crafty old drug dealer just decides to give a high school junkie a suitcase full of drugs to sell?? Seriously? Like Rue is gonna peddle heroin and fentanyl and not use it all herself. Stupid bitch deserves to lose her drugs and money. I bet Rue would prefer to OD than be sold into human trafficking ring.

by Anonymousreply 62February 1, 2022 9:40 PM

Would this show survive without Zendaya? She’s good in it because she gets to play a lesbian like real life. I don’t know yet if she is a good actress but she is perfect for this part.

The gays boys flashback of dancing at the bar and kissing to INXS was iconic.

by Anonymousreply 63February 1, 2022 10:55 PM

[quote] That crafty old drug dealer just decides to give a high school junkie a suitcase full of drugs to sell?? Seriously?

Maybe the dealer is purposely setting Rue up to fail to get back at Fez for killing Mouse, which she’s somehow figured out?

by Anonymousreply 64February 2, 2022 12:11 AM

[quote] What didn't you like?

Rain Man, Good Morning Vietnam. I'll give you Diner -largely for the casting.

by Anonymousreply 65February 2, 2022 8:17 PM

[quote] So what do you think will happen next week?

Rue gets "sold to some really sick people". And then doesn't.

Cal stops laughing maniacally, and panics when the disc turns up in the wrong hands.

Nate fully dumps Cassie, she's such a fucking mess.

Lexi's play reveals all.

by Anonymousreply 66February 2, 2022 8:34 PM

They’ll probably save Lexi’s play for the season finale. It’s going to SPILL ALL THE TEA. 😂

by Anonymousreply 67February 2, 2022 9:29 PM

Does Maddie have the DVD of Cal banging Jewels? Has Nate thought of asking her to return it?

by Anonymousreply 68February 2, 2022 10:22 PM

Yes Maddie has the video r68. And we are watching the same show as you, we will see where it goes over the rest of the season.

by Anonymousreply 69February 2, 2022 11:30 PM

Does anyone watch the after show voice overs?

Sam Levinson is a seriously spaced out dude. I would fuck him though.

by Anonymousreply 70February 2, 2022 11:38 PM

I kind of wish growing up I had a friend with a hot, sexy dad like Cal. I would have so blown him.

by Anonymousreply 71February 2, 2022 11:41 PM

[quote] Sam Levinson is a seriously spaced out dude. I would fuck him though

Unfortunately (for him) from certain angles he resembles Donald Trump Jr.

A little bit. And that's way too much.

by Anonymousreply 72February 3, 2022 4:11 AM

eric dane's prosthetic dick was laughably fake

that scene was great though

by Anonymousreply 73February 3, 2022 4:46 AM

[quote] that scene was great though

I'd prefer that his man piss hadn't gone to waste.

by Anonymousreply 74February 4, 2022 6:56 AM

All Rue All The Time.

An entire episode of her fucking up.

by Anonymousreply 75February 7, 2022 2:04 AM

Drugs are so exciting!

by Anonymousreply 76February 7, 2022 4:34 AM

Rewatching the birthday episode. When Cassie is dancing alone, she leans back and you can see the implant scar under her breast. Someone on the other thread said her breasts were natural. They are not.
