It's an auspicious start. Love the bathroom scene with Sydney and her massive honkers.

R3 Can't say, I attempted to watch Zendaya's character's before realizing it was going to be one long conversation. I may try again.

I loved Season one, but I have a feeling the mood of the country (well, by country I mean me) will make season two feel under appreciated.

R7 Escapist fare for me. So I'm hoping they really bring it.

R3, I loved the two special episodes. Are they necessary? No idea. Are they excellent? Yes.

I like this show. These people are so fucked up they make me feel normal.

Anyone want to decipher that bizarre Nate/McKay scene? I took it as Nate’s typical possession/control focus broadening to include Cassie, and a power trip because he knew something McKay didn’t. But a lot of people are seeing it as straightforward sexual interest in McKay. What’s DL’s take?

Nate wants McKay’s cum and wanted a visual to spank to later. Nate was getting so turned on by the thought of McKay cumming he couldn’t stop himself from getting close and closer and finally had to touch McKay even if only for second. Been there, done that.

How old is this Sam Levinson writer/director guy? I picture him writing all this gross dialogue for teenagers, yuck.

R13 He's 37. There are three other writes credited, one 45, one 54 and the actress Hunter who is 23. I always thought Levinson's father was a hack. He seems more talented. The bitchy girls dialog sounds believable to me.

R17 Don't know about the Season yet, but I think OP synopsized the first episode correctly. 2 real, 1 fake. It's the bathroom scene featuring a young guy with uncut low hanging junk that's been getting the most attention.

I'm not convinced the second one was real.

Overall, I'm really enjoying the second season but I cannot fucking stand Cassie. She is so fucking whiny, spineless, and useless.

This show is a Ephebophiliac’s delight. HBO should be fucking ashamed and embarrassed. But i guess because of all the “representation” it gets a pass in these psychotic times. Levinson is gross.

I LOVE FEZCO! I was crushing on him last season, before he beat the fuck out of Nate. Angus McCloud is fucking hot!

DESPISE Nate. His character represents sooo many mentally fucked up young closeted men, white and non-white, our here. Fezco beating his ass was an instant top show moment.

The new guy, Elliott, is a total hottie and has great chemistry with Rue and Jules.

Last season was stylized but it felt like it was there for a purpose and had meaning. This season just feels like excess for the sake of excess.

Coming clean to Jules about Rue's sobriety isn't going to end well I fear.

The dancing scene in the bar where Cal imagined he was dancing with his first love... that was amazing.

This season is suffering because there is no cohesive plot.

So what do you think will happen next week? The promos seem to indicate Rue ODs, but I'm thinking she gets arrested. Supposedly, this is the *big* episode of this season

If Rue gets busted by her mom/Jules overnight, they’re going to see the suitcase full of drugs out. That might be where the police come in. Is there some way the mom could call in the cops without Rue getting charged with possession, the way you could turn in a weapon?

This will play out with Fez either getting locked up for killing Mouse or killed by the drug distributor as revenge for bringing Rue into her life.

To my surprise, my favorite character this season is Maddie. She’s so close to figuring out what’s going on with Cassie - I bet that will happen next episode.

Rue gets away with so much inside her house. My mom used to wake up at the slightest whisper and had a sixth sense for anything shady going on within the walls. That suitcase wouldn’t have survived one day in our house.

What was meant by “the baby momma is asking a bunch of questions”? Does this refer to the dealer that stupidly gave Rue the suitcase full of $10,00 in drugs?

This show is gross. Adults who want to watch teens engaging in extreme behavior are embarrassing.

I think Fez (and maybe Ash too) end the season dead, if not for killing Mouse then for killing the rich guy he stole money from at the beginning of the season. I think that's why the character gets the puppy love romance with Lexi. I think that turns the others against Rue - her stupidity gets Fez killed.

Kind of agreed about the mom thing, but I also think the mother is just exhausted with Rue. She doesn't want to know what she's up to and that seems understandable. That's one thing I like about this show - the parents aren't as clueless or indifferent as typical sitcom parents. They're just baffled by their kids and not sure what to do about them.

I knew plenty of "Maddies" in high school; they marry that jock they think is made of gold, only to end up immediately pushing out a couple of kids while former jock is still trying to trade off his golden boy reputation selling cars. Old Maddie ends up being the manager at Pizza Hut & a total bitch on wheels.

The juxtaposition of Cal dancing in the bar and Cassie dancing alone while practically strangling herself with party balloons as they both sort of implode to the sound of Sinead O'Connor's 'Drink Before the War" was really well done.

I'm glad that they killed someone isn't being completely swept under the rug.

Fez is too damn popular right now to be killed off. I mean this is the character who did God’s work by beating Nate’s ass. If anyone dies, it’ll probably be Ashtray or new guy Elliott.

Given her allegedly soured relationship with the show's creator, I could see them killing off the Kat character if one of the regular cast members had to die in the series in order to manufacture storyline drama.

I never again need to see Jules with her bony ass in a thong.

Rue’s drug use is getting tiresome. Maybe they’ll surprise us and kill off the main character.

That's what they seem to be leading to - everyone is tired of Rue; I think something bad is going to happen, not to her but because of her that's such a hard smack in the face she can't blow it off

Would this show survive without Zendaya? She’s good in it because she gets to play a lesbian like real life. I don’t know yet if she is a good actress but she is perfect for this part.
