What is the most delicious Chinese restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley?

I will be there tomorrow.

You tell us, then.

You mean Taiwanese restaurant? Because it’s predominantly Taiwanese people in San Gabriel valley and the restaurants reflect that.

I bet they have Cum of Sum Yung Guy on the menu.

The one where they don't cook the cats and dogs from the back alley.

Has anyone eaten at any of these?

I don't think many DLers live in the San Gabriel Valley, and not many would go there on purpose.

R5, no, I haven't eaten at any of those restaurants. Also, those are not all Chinese restaurants.

Ji Rong Peking Duck in Rosemead. Look up the reviews on Yelp and on Google. They don't lie.

My mom lives in this area.

Sea Harbor Seafood on Rosemead is the best Dim sum. Newcomer Bistro 168 in Arcadia is getting a lot of buzz. I went once over my holiday visit and I liked enough to go back to try more dishes. But I didn't find it better than sea harbor.

Another newbie I tried was golden delight which is a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant on Garvey. They literally have 2 menus, they stop offering the vietnamese menu at 7pm. It may sound like a jack of all trades approach but actually they executed both cuisine well. I had Chinese for dinner and retired for vietnamese lunch.

Retired? I wish. I meant returned.

I've eaten at about half of the restaurant on r5 list.

There is no quality control, but you may want to check out the sgv eats Facebook page. It was created in 2020 by locals to support sgv restaurants as covid shut everything down. You can pose your question there and will certainly get more feedback than at DL.
