Dwayne looked fantastic well into his late 70s, I think he had stopped making public appearances quite some time ago, though.
Odd that the obituary says nothing about his brother Darryl surviving him.

Or his other brother Darryl.

"looked fantastic well into his late 70s" - that's quite a stretch. "Fantastic?"

Loved this show so much!

Not even two weeks in, in 2022...many celebrity deaths. RIP Dwayne Hickman..

Darn. I had a crush on him as Dobie Gillis when I was a kid. I was also attracted to guys that looked like him when I was a teen/young adult.

There are always a lot of celebrity deaths in the winter but it seems like this winter has been particularly harsh.

He sang a really cool psycho-stalker song on his 1960 album.

Has Chatsworth Osborne Junior commented?

I can't tell one from the other.
Blonde versus brunette?

Or his mother? I loved Doris Packer as Chatsworth's mother. Doris also played the mother of Milton Armitage, who was played by Warren Beatty and whose character Chatsworth was a replacement for.

He had a pleasant face, cleft chin and thick neck.
But he never went shirtless or bared his navel.

R1, I remember how well his older, surviving, brother aged. Not so much him.

He was in "How To Stuff A Wild Bikini", but he didn't demonstrate the process. And Annette was busy being pregnant, so she didn't either.

Did he die of yellow teeth?

No, but he ate Zelda's ham and cheese curtains.

Seemed like a nice guy. His autobiography, “Forever Dobie”, was a good read, with interesting anecdotes about Hollywood in the 50s and 60s.
