Husbear just got a great new job. DL, what should we expect?
This is a serious inquiry! My husband has been offered a good job there and we're mulling it over. We're settled so we don't need clubs and a scene. We're looking for solid lifestyle with access to good restaurants, arts, outdoors. How welcoming is the community? Thoughts?

My husbear just got a job offer in Wildwood, New Jersey. Presently we're in Cap d'Antibes. Well, what should we expect? Serious inquiry! PLEASE go to my thread first.

How could you ever leave Baku? All seem to breathe peace and freedom in this stunning metroplex

Baku is often likened to Southampton… mostly WASPY people and old money. But of course you know that already, since you live there.
Béjaïa will be more like East Hampton… with slightly newer money, more celebrities, and more Jews.

That's what I'm worried about R4. My husbear is quite the snob but he needs this job! He's tell all our friends we are moving to "Bougie", the old French name for Béjaïa. They roll their eyes. Yes, husbear speaks to Lulu, our bichon frisé, in French.

Also we've been told Algeria is woke and socialist and won't give a VISA to our Turkmeni houseboy Tagan, unless he's officially our son. Husbear wants to adopt him but I am extremely wary as husbear is 401K.

So just how much do you love him? I mean are you willing to sacrifice YOUR future to live in a three goat town?

Trying to make the guy moving from California to Georgia feel even worse?

R6 Have you looked into Mauritania? Nouakchott doesn't quite have the charm of Algiers and can be beastly hot in the summer, however slavery is perfectly legal (informally) so they will welcome Tagan with open arms. Getting Tagan OUT of the country when you leave might be a problem but as he's Turkmeni he'll be seen as exotic and thus have a high resale value. Just make sure you offload before his expiration date- if you get my meaning.

Why not consider Moldavia? Just make sure you’re ALREADY married… as having the ceremony there can be very dangerous and make you the target of a terrorist attack!
