OP, I agree with you, my only objection to them is the same I have to the whole pile, that the concept of monarchy is absolutely ridiculous and for any of them to feel owed or deserving of the gross privilege they grew up in is silly. Ultimately though all the other family members did the same things Meghan and Harry have in the broad strokes - marrying up (Kate), trading on royal status for personal gain (nearly all of them, at least Meghan didn’t do a Chinese milk commercial), courting the press (Charles and Diana), briefing against family members (Charles, William, Harry), etc. And if you want to flame them, I don’t see why it’s Meghan who deserves the hatred instead of Harry, who’s a grown man.

Except for the ones who married in to the family, none of them chose that life, and I can tell you with authority that many of them would rather be nobodies.
